yeah.....you want to blame him for all the problems....then you must admit that the dow soared to a 14,000 point record under bush and the real estate market soared to an all time high....

yet the dishonest lib hacks like to blame only bush for the economic woes of the past year and half....

fact is, no president controls the economy alone and no dem can point to a single bush policy that caused the economy to falter....what economic policy(s) did bush change from clinton?

i see.....so when the dot com burst....it had nothing to do with clinton, yet you libs give him all sorts of whacko credit for its economic boost.....same thing happens with bush, except unlike clinton he doesn't get to leave office until after the bubble burst and hack libs blame bush but give clinton mad love.....

Come on Yurt. Yeah, the dow was as high as its ever been when Bush was president. The economy also began its biggest collapse in terms of lost real wealth in the history of mankind under Bush.

So if you're going to play this silly "take the good with the bad" ridiculousness, at least be honest about it and admit that your interests are more about party than country.

Which is a darn shame!

A single policy? The Iraq war. If all that wasted money had been put into a mortgage fund to help those whose interest rates skyrocketed how many people would still have a home? Instead of rebuilding Iraq's infrastructure that money could have used to rebuild infrastructure here and create jobs.

The bailout package was 700 billion (http://seekingalpha.com/article/96740-details-of-the-financial-bailout-package).The Iraq war is now at 690 billion (http://costofwar.com/)

meadowmuffins....i'm simply pointing out facts and to you that is party over country....did i deny the bad economic times...no....apparently you want to believe gwb was solely responsible for that, yet you're probably like others and ignore the good

However, I replied to your question and you ignored it. Apparently, Beefy is right.

The left will never admit that Presidents have little to no control over monetary policies and that includes Obama.

I don't know, but how many jobs would be available today, if not for the loss of incentives to grow business? How many, numbers please, have been 'saved' by the ass backward policies of the current administration?

Truth is, the only place to look for jobs is the government. Going back to middle school, 'how does the government pay for its costs? Oh yeah, taxes.

How do you tax people that don't have a freaking job?

Just heard that unemployment rates will go over 10.5% and it will take years to come down.

The housing boom was because of Bwarny Fag and his policies to force banks to loan to poor credit customers. More demand = higher prices. Using construction also boomed, peaking prices in materials, then of course the markets in general. Once the buyers started defaulting on their loans the house of cards collapsed.

imo...that is a part, but the larger part was the stock bubble bursting, people immediately began to put their money into real estate, from individuals to large mutual funds and banks.....

and btw....this thread is more tongue in cheek and poking fun of the liberals for blaming bush for everything under the sun, while giving the dems a free pass
