hey cowgirl lets discuss elections

The trouble with Republicans is you never listen to facts, you don't know what facts are. You hate facts

why is it called welfare an why is it being practiced today in this country right now?

its perfectly legal and what the law is in this country as we speak

The "general welfare" mentioned in the constitution is not the same thing as the current welfare program. Same word but different meanings. General welfare in that context by the founders meant basically the general prosperity/good/well being of the citizens. It doesn't really give the government the right to create anything it wants to benefit the population since the government is also limited in it's power through the different articles and rights in the constitution. The federal government can create a welfare program like you see today only if the powers granted to it by the constitution say so, which does not exist. If the federal government could create anything it wanted then there would be no point in spelling out what it can and cannot do in the constitution and have such limitations and checks and balances. I'm not saying that the federal government shouldn't be involved in these sorts of things in some way but there is a reason why limitations exist in the constitution for the federal government and why the founding fathers did those things having come from a country with a very strong central powered government which it wanted to avoid here.

We should also be very careful. Today's congress may benefit you politically and share your party politics which may then influence you to want to allow them have ultimate authority to implement programs and ideas that you agree with but today's congress may not be tomorrows congress, and if the shoe was on the other foot and power shifts then everybody that was once for those violations in order to push their beliefs would be begging if not fighting for those limitations to the federal governments power when it goes against you. The founders were incredibly smart to spell out what the federal government can and can't do. Every time we give government more power it is nearly impossible to take it away, even when abused.

Anyway, those are just my opinions

I agree with your theory, but in practicality it doesn't work because the media is in the pocket of the left. Democrats just scream bloody murder both ways and the media pounds their message. They aren't held accountable for their hypocrisy. They are directly supported in it. So it doesn't work

and your proof of that is what?

our media is corporate

YOU have no proof this corporate media is lying about things huh

I have proof some lie

fox news lies

the USA does nit agree with you

Well it's more like half the country does not agree but the constitution directs the country, not whoever is in power at one point in time. It's meant to last over time and just because a portion of the current population does not agree with it does not mean that it can ignore the constitution. People can be abused and oppressed by the will of millions of people just as easy as the will of one dictator if you don't have a constitution to base your law and foundation on.
