Hillary won't get the nomination

Spineless dems like Cypress and lori might lose it again.
As you need to put up someone who can beat a Bush clone.
Hopefully Hillary will stear clear of the trailor trash these morons spew daily cause they will push moderates away fearing the castro wing is bigger than .1%

Probably my biggest problem with 3rd party voters, aside from the fact that they feel they are "above the fray"; they don't deal in reality, and in the practical consequences of what they see as "principled" action.

It's always imaginary ideas like "if enough people thought like us!" and "my vote is shifting the platform of the major parties..." It's a total fantasy-world...

Right, Bradley was more to the left than Gore, you are contradicting yourself! And since Gore won the popular vote, and also the electoral vote, no matter how much you guys will never admit the second part, but can't deny the first, your entire argument, frankly, is moot Sf.

LOL. Great point. You gotta love the:

"But, but...I would have voted for Bill Bradley!" nonsense.

bradley was not only to the left of Gore, but bradley was proposing universal health care in 1999. You know - that "socialistic" program superfreak hates?

Which begs the question: Which time was superfreak telling the truth? When he pined for a more moderate democrat to run, not a lefty one?

Or, when he pines for a liberal Bill Bradley candidacy?

;)

I think you are using this to make yourself feel better.

No Darla. What you don't seem to get is that I do not feel bad for the way I voted. Not one bit. Am I pissed at how Bush handled the Iraq war... without question. Just as I am pissed at how he has run up spending along with the Rep Congress.

But that does not change the fact that neither of us knows what might have happened. That is my point. For you or lorax or anyone else, myself included, to act as though we KNOW what would have been is idiotic.

YOU DO NOT KNOW. You are making assumptions based on what you would have liked to have happened.

You DO NOT KNOW that things would have been better. You simply ignore any of the possible negative outcomes from Gore being President and doing nothing and act like the best case scenario would have occured or that everything simply would have remained as it was. Which to me is a bit naive given that things were continually getting worse for the Iraqi people.

IF Gore wasn't such a dork back then he would have won.
His sense of humor is much more evident now and his fear of Clinton could be gone????

In fact, I loved Bradley and would have been thrilled if he were nominated, but when a party has a sitting vp or president, that is who they nominate, let's try not to be too stupid here. And that's right! Bradley was openly pushing universal health care then. He was far to the left of Gore, at that time. Gore has moved left since, he was a f'ing moderate then, and this is a rewriting of history.

"Am I pissed at how Bush handled the Iraq war... without question"

Catch the wording here. It's always "how it was handled" with the apologists. Not the decision itself.

Gore was a viable candidate. He was preferred by most American voters.

Gore was not viable enough or he would have won the electoral votes. Perhaps if you want to blame someone.... blame Gore for not carrying his own fucking state.

Had the dems chosen the MOST viable candidate... the one with the BEST chance of knocking off Bush... they would have gone with Bradley.

See, this blows me away evertime.

Given all we know now, you're only mad at how Bush ran the Iraq war. You're still incapable of seeing that invading iraq of itself, was sheer folly. One of the biggest blunders in american history.

Ok SF, I'm sure Gore would have been worse than the man who is fast going down in history as the worst president we have ever had.

Like I said, if you need to believe that, go ahead, but don't get all pissy because others aren't going down that magic mushroom path. I'm not going.

Change that to "Superfreak's favorite Democrat," even though he was to the left of Gore. Maybe you like basketball?

More Americans voted for Gore. A couple of million more. Clearly, he was viable, but you saw something in Bush...maybe those tight blue jeans that Dixie liked so much, or his charming mangled syntax....

Right, because Bradely, a man running on Universal health care, and to the left of Al Gore, would have won Tennessee, a hick Southern state, get real SF ok? Never would have happened.

Well now genius, given the fact that I have said time and again that I thought it was inevitable that we go in.... I guess I wouldn't have a problem with that particular part of it. Now would I?

But I do love how people like you do so enjoy calling everyone who doesn't share your view an "apologist". I am not apologizing for anything or anyone. I didn't like the timing or how it was managed. That does not change the fact that I thought it needed to be done. As it had for 8 years previously that your beloved leader did nothing. But please, continue to be a UN and Clinton apologist for their failure to handle the situation for 8 straight years. I understand how embarassing that is for you.

"the fact that I have said time and again that I thought it was inevitable that we go in"

Again - something that disqualifies you from any discussion regarding national security going forward....

I didn't say Bradley would have won TN darla. I said Gore should have won.

Bradley would have been a far better candidate than Gore on the whole.

SF here is the problem with your theory: History has now unfolded. There is now no doubt, Saddam did not have wmd's.

Therefore, the UN and Bill Clinton DID handle the situation.

Though, also not in the manner I would have preferred.
