Nancy Pelosi as Speaker Of The House said, "we have to pass it to find out what's in it."

Here's what we're finding out folks. Let's see if the lefties here can defend it.

The cost of Obamacare could rise for millions of Americans next year, with one insurer proposing a 50 percent hike in premiums, fueling the controversy about just how “affordable” the Affordable Care Act really is.

The eye-popping 50 percent hike by New Mexico insurer Blue Cross Blue Shield is an outlier, and state officials may not allow it to go through. But health insurance experts are predicting that premiums will rise more significantly in 2016 than in the first two years of Obamacare exchange coverage. In 2015, for example, premiums increased by an average of 5.4 percent, according to PwC’s Health Research Institute.

Have substancial increases already this year and a very large drop in participation.
The plans are unattractive to anyone really with the high deductibles.
All its done is limit policy choices and drive up costs.
Time to put it out of its misery.

Seven years on, the size of the Obamacare disaster is only beginning to emerge. Fixing it won’t be as easy as some of the candidates for president seem to think it will be. The Congressional Budget Office estimated last week that over the next decade Obamacare will add $1.4 trillion to the nation’s debt.

Many of the so-called cures are utterly unrealistic. Hillary Clinton, for example, after proposing new and expensive additions to Obamacare, now suggests a solution concocted of one part fantasy and two parts nonsense. She would impose a 4 percent tax on millionaires to pay for increased costs. But her tax would yield only $150 billion over 10 years, a fraction of what her plan would require. Even millionaires are not what they used to be.

Sylvia Mathews Burwell, the secretary of Health and Human Services, said last year that the Obamacare website, the heart of the president’s scheme, cost $834 million to build. Bloomberg News puts the cost at $2.1 billion. At any price it represents the obstacle to medical progress. The exchanges that were crucial to encouraging the competition that would lower costs, have been another disaster. All but 12 of the original 23 have failed and congressional critics say the $1.2 billion lent to them is unlikely ever to be repaid.

so the end result is that obamacare followed the exact predicted results that most of us said it would......that of failing tens of millions of people, costing billions of dollars, and enriching the health insurance companies.

It may not have delivered the savings yet, but at least it's giving many more Americans access to healthcare. We need to give it time to start bringing the costs down. It's not like costs weren't soaring before the ACA either

Indeed.

Premiums rose much more rapidly BEFORE ObamaCare.

Sadly, that important fact is ignored by partisan Righties out to kill affordable healthcare for everyone.

Cite some numbers to corroborate those claims, please.

The access that "many more Americans are getting to health care" is Medicaid and more and more doctors are refusing to take Medicaid patients.

when chicken goes bad, you don't wait around and give it more time hoping it will get better. just sayin

When the stool sample smells so bad that it contaminates an entire country, it's high time to bury it 500 feet deep. Something rotten crawled up Obama's ass and died!

Yeah.....it's probably time we move, straight-on, to Single Payer/Medicare-For-All.

It's more-than-obvious we're the last industrialized-Country to figure-out.....For-Profit Health Care is as inefficient.....as-it-is an amateurish-effort to try the whole Master Race trip, again.

Exterminating everyone.....except "conservatives".....seems somewhat counter-productive. We're falling behind the more-civilized countries, as it is, when it come to Quality Of Life.

November is important for more than just elections. It’s also kicked off open enrollment for health insurance policies sold through the Affordable Care Act’s federal and state exchanges. And as millions of patients across the country just found out, premiums and out-of-pocket costs for 2016 are increasing significantly—many by much more than expected.

That’s the conclusion of a new report from McKinsey & Company. The consulting firm found premiums for the lowest-cost plans across all tiers—bronze, silver, gold and platinum—will increase by a median of 10-13% in 2016. The lowest-priced silver plans, which account for fully 70% of the exchange market, will increase by 11%—four percentage points higher than 2015 plans.
