Half the time anymore it's Yaya quoting me over, and over. Can I shut off notifications when it's certain posters quoting me?
Is there a way to stop the announcements of quotes from certain posters?

I don't know. I'll ask damo. If I had to make a random guess if it were turned off it might be for all quotes.

Thanks. That kid is just too weird to deal with. I feel excited that I have a number of quotes to discuss, only to see it's just a bunch from him. It almost seems like he's been coat tailing me for attention.
try putting him on your ignore list. I think that might do it.

My physical ailments are making me cranky, and trying to get him to understand anything right now seems beneath me anymore.

not quotes.......just thanks and groans....I still see it when Jade or Desh quote me.....by the way the solution is simple, just don't try to read his quotes.....

It doesn't, unfortunately. I have Buttyurt and a dozen others on ignore and they still show up in notifications when they quote me. But at least I don't see what they're bloviating about.

The ignore feature here kinda sucks. On other VB forums when you have someone on ignore you can still peek at individual posts, you know, if you're particularly bored, or just in an arguing mood. Here, you actually have to take them OFF ignore.
I can actually see the comedy value in seeing them whining and begging for your attention, while they know full well you cannot see them and do not read them.
That is actually pretty freakin' hilarious when you think about it!

LOL! I think the feature here that makes it harder to peek makes me stronger and less tempted, being a lazy bird of play that I am. ;~)

I do get amused by some. Annoise knows that I have both of him on ignore. The only way I see his stuff is when someone who I don't have on ignore quotes him. Still...he often quotes me.
For the myriad morons who have made it to my ignore list, I'm often surprised that they still quote me, given that I haven't responded to some of them in years.
There was a board I used to be on, where you can hit a button in the post, and undo the ignore just to read that post. I might read an occasional post if we had that feature, but I'm not going through the hassle of removing someone from my ignore list, just to find that they're still a moron.
