It may come as a shock but I would love nothing better than to see this forum come together politically

I will,..thanks. Im just now FINALLY starting to get over a bad head cold and don't really need to be taking part in much negativity today. Thread isnt going how I intended and Im not going to fight it....too tired. I AM going to take part in my life long hobby today though,....Ive been and NFL draftnik since I was a kid,...pretty dang good at it too if I don't say so myself. It's a hobby I enjoy. Gonna have some fun with it today on line. For any football fans out there let me give you a couple of tips that TOP will most likely be a big fan of.....

1.....The best receiver in this draft is actually the kid from Ohio State,...Egbuka. A real pros pro he will be.

2...The Tom Brady of this draft comes from the same school,....Ohio State. Will Howard. The kid wont be taken till the 4th round but three years from now will end up being a better QB then all the 1st rounders taken this year. All he does is win,...selfless.

We have plenty of "morals," we just disagree on how to define that. You MAGATs believe that it is "moral" to call LGBTQ ppl, for instance, "perverts" and "sick" and "depraved" while you support denying them the same human rights the rest of us enjoy. You (as a group) also claim that those of us who are their allies and support them are immoral as well. My evidence? Copious posts from MAGATs on just this forum saying so.

See the problem here? When MAGATs start talking about morality, we know that it's the prelude to shoving their (in name only) religious beliefs down everyone else's throats.

Shall we discuss the morality of racism next, Stone? You've posted plenty of racist stuff here. In your mind is that moral?

If you are a male who likes to wear dresses and high heels knock your lights out and go for it. Just stay out of women's spaces because you aren't a woman. And if you want to play sports stay out of women's sports.

Common ground can be found, suggest some.

We all want to be able to (as GWB would say it) "put food on our families". We can start there. We want the same result, the main difference we have is in how to get there. We want everyone in the US to be able to afford food for their family.

Where you will find disagreement in agreement (we agree food for families = good) is in the "how"... Should we all get together and socialize this? Should we focus on economic growth so everyone who wants a job can get one? Should we open our borders so that folks some think are going to pick our vegetables will rush in to sell fentanyl, traffic our children, and fill up cheap housing in population centers with the victims of trafficking thus making food "cheap" in the most inefficient way possible? And there you will have a brawl... in "agreement" you will find the disagreement.

We all want fair elections. Another point of agreement that is actually contention in the "how" of it.

Almost all disagreement in politics will be in the path to success for each of the points of agreement. We start with agreement....

Justice. We all want justice... What is the right path to it? Is it getting rid of cash bail? Is it doubling cash bail for violent offences?

I think you get the idea.

There was a plan that was successful a few decades ago.

Temporary Visas for migrants to come and pick the fruits and vegetables and then return to their own countries.

Of course, the far left loons wanted millions to come, illegally, for votes and power.

Their re-settlement plan has failed and putting food on our families involves doing so, legally.

As to justice, when violent criminals are arrested, don’t release them back into the streets to attack American citizens.

Your premise is foolish. No one "comes here...in the spirit of working together". That is not what any debate forum is for. We should come here, however, in a spirit of reasonableness, a spirit that requires rational argument. Instead, and especially from your side, the "spirit" more often is one of hard feelings and an urge for personal insult.
