Oil companies have thousands of acres of unused drilling rights leases to drill to their heart's content. The judge is a right-wing showman . They own 34,000 leases on public land, over 23.7 million acres. Biden issued more leases in a comparable time than Daffy Donald did.

You are missing the legal requirements here. The President is required by law made by Congress and signed off on by past Presidents to offer oil and gas leases-- a legal minimum of three-- in 60 million acres of offshore area before any offshore wind leases can be offered. Biden ignored this and has made several bidding opportunities for offshore wind--with ZERO takers I might add--but has offered no oil and gas leases.

That is in direct violation of US law. The judge is absolutely correct in smacking the Joke administration down.

Biden is being forced to do that because the courts ruled the law--something Biden doesn't give a shit about-- requires a minimum of three oil and gas lease auctions before any wind and solar auctions are held. Of course, with the later, nobody's willing to bid on them because the 'sharp pencils' at firms that build that sort of thing have figured out that solar and wind are massive economic losers.
