Let's see:

Between 2 and 9 May 2023, Islamic Jihad fired 102 rockets into Israel killing 10 civilians. Israel retaliated on the 9th with a targeted strike blowing the living shit out of a vehicle occupied by Khan Yunis, a Islamic Jihad leader. 6 addition Islamic Jihad terrorists were killed on the 10th.

Islamic Jihad responded by firing 938 rockets into Israel. Two more IJ leaders were killed, along with 26 civilian causalities from colleterial damage on the 11th.

On the 13th a ceasefire was agreed to by both parties. The total casualties were 10 Israeli civilians to about 5 Palestinian terrorists and 26 Palestinians and 3 TCN civilians killed.

Seems to me, that the Palestinians started shit, Israel kicked their ass for doing it, and things settled down for a couple of months until the Palestinians started more shit again.
