Looks like we're headed to communism. The government just keeps on getting bigger and bigger! Have you ever heard of a tax that was ever lowered?

Look at the years we did that?

they were the ones everyone says were our glory years....The 1950s

Both in the lead up of the Great depression and this time arround they had lower tax rates than many other years

On principle, I don't think anyone should have to pay more than one third of their income on taxes.

Gov't should be focusing on ways to make bureaucracy more efficient, and waste less taxpayer money. I support ideas like universal healthcare, but do it in a way that delivers real cost savings.

Yes! And during those years, colored folks were forced to the back of the bus.

Hows about we do THAT again too, afterall, they were the "glory years". Thus, everything that was policy then should be policy now!

All hail our "glory years!"

Its not me who calls them the glory years.

It has long been the time the Rs all hold up as the years when our society was near perfect.

Then came those crazy 60s and ruined everything.

Dont pretend its not true, you know it is.

Desh - high tax rates are not something we should covet & seek.

I believe in a progressive tax rate, but it is wrong to simply punish people for making more.
