Not so much as generals like Bradley and Eisenhower, or admirals like Nimitz. That is ones that are competent, successful, and not overly political. So, while Patton was successful as a field commander, he was never going to rise to being a commander-in-chief of the sort the others named here did. That's because he was too politically incorrect and not astute at being able to link between the military carrying out a war strategy and making and selling that strategy in the political realm.

Milley is the reverse of Patton. He's a political cocksucker who has little capacity to formulate and carry out the warfighting part of a strategy.
