An article I found interesting published a few days ago on Consortium News by Tony Kevin, thought others here might be interested in reading it and perhaps offering a constructive comment or 2. Quoting from it:

There is enough evidence now to satisfy the Global Majority that U.S. regime change and controlling operations in Ukraine since 2013 have been above all cynically aimed at weakening and destabilising Russia. Remembering their own viciously exploited colonial history, the Global Majority are glad these Western efforts are failing.

The Vilnius NATO meeting will produce no new miracles of salvation for the doomed Kiev regime. There will be a lot of tired rhetoric about continuing to defend democratic Ukraine.

Nobody – speakers or listeners – will believe it.

The Russian people won't be free until they depose Putin and install a democratic government.

At least dictators aren’t corrupt because they already control everything unlike the trash we have in office now

"Democracy is messy" - Donald Rumsfeld

You'd rather have a dictatorship than a Republic, Tink? Careful what you wish for, dear, you might get it.

Have you know children or grandchildren whom you care about? Do you really want them under the thumb of a dictator?

A dictatorship is simply a political ideology, it is neither good nor bad, it depends who the dictator is.

Albert Rene of France was considered a very good dictator because he eliminated poverty.

Rene is an anomaly. Stalin, Mussolini and Castro are more common results.

Dictatorships might start out good but always end up badly due to human nature: "Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely."

It might take a generation or two. Julius Caesar had some good points about him, but the dictatorship of Rome ended up with Caligula.

You can also look at many of the Pharaohs who were considered excellent rulers.

There have also been many great Kings although technically that is an aristocracy they still perform the role of a dictator.

Not by the slaves they weren't.

Your slobbering over Kings and dictators is interesting, Tink. Are you Canadian-Irish?

It's surprising how quick MAGAs abandoned the US constitution.

The White Supremacist movement has always been anti-US Constitution. They want to run the country like Sheriffs of the Jim Crow South; with them in charge.

The confluence of white supremacy and the Evangelistas is what has been corroding the RNC the past 3 decades. I hope they can turn it around, but it appears they aren't even trying.

Fun Fact: The Ukrainian Military which Russia has obliterated was the strongest military in Europe, NATO had spent a decade relentlessly building it on the sly.
