I saw 2 br in Walnut Creek for 250k regularly. I would guess prices have dropped or at least stayed flat since then. A coworker is buying a 1 br in Oak for 120k as an investment.

As bad as Oakland is if they are really buying something for $120k that is in the projects. That would be straight ghetto.

Walnut Creek has gone way up in value. If you want something have way nice you are paying well above $250k.

If you make $250k in a year but have a family send your kids to good schools and live someplace like the Bay Area I don't think you are saving large amounts.

I always remember the Chris Rock line between rich and wealth. He said Shaq is rich and the white man paying his check is wealthy.
 
I love it! All the people here that are saying that $250k should NOT be considered rich. Allright, if that's the case, how about all those people (the majority) who are making less than that amount? How are they supposed to survive? How can they get better paying jobs? How can they afford a home? How can they afford a better education? How can they pay for health insurance, or any other type of insurance for that matter? :lmao:

Please post your solutions, since you have all the answers. I can't wait to see what some of you will come up with. All of you who don't respond, are liars, hyprocrits and cowards.

cawacko what dream world do you live in? if you own a home in the bay area, are supporting a family there, and sending your kids to private schools there, YOU ARE rich. that is a privileged lifestyle by American standards. That is a utopian lifestyle by many standards in other parts of the world. That's a stupid analogy. People's survival depends upon how you define rich? Come back with a question that makes sense before you start popping off calling people cowards etc.

speaking of joe the plumber - can anyone believe they are still talking about this fraud? did you guys hear that joe the plumber is contemplating running for congress?? that he is shopping a book about himself?

there's been a joe the plumber campain tour. sarah palin actually yelled out at one of her rallies "there's wendy, the plumber's daughter!"

and today i heard palin say "joe the plumber said, that's socialism!"


i just don't know how to do justice to this kind of retardation. what i wouldn't give to read twain's take on this.
 
The strange part is that all the data says that it doesn't resonate with America. All it does is solidify the base of people that are already voting for him. Most people according to the polling say it's completely retarded.

i know. i cannot get over how badly mccain has run this thing. i think that running campaigns like the ones we have these days, which go on for what, two years basically? is a huge job. he has fucked it up royally. obama has run a nearly flawless campaign, and any mistakes he made, he made early on, and you saw how he learned from them. if these were job interviews, only someone who was trying to drive themselves out of business would hire mccain over obama.

As an aside I kind of do like your technique of essentially speaking in another language and then call people cowards who don't respond but you can't be understood.
 
WEnt to a gunshow today. LOTS of McPalin supporters. Conversations go from Guns to the Second Amendment to politics in General. I have never heard more hopeless people in my life. McCain was in Mesilla which is a little tourista spot here in Las Cruces, several of these people were there and said he was a good speaker but didn't really talk about anything. Most of them said he was done too.

I have never done drugs, nor do I support the legalization of any. Perhaps that's your problem?
