Oh yeah, that was hilarious. Sold everything they had including their farm to escape the hordes of LGBTQ people apparently overrunning their rural area. Bwahahaha! They planned to buy a farm in Russia. Then found out, because doing homework is too hard -- just ask their eight home-schooled kids -- that foreigners cannot own Russian farmland. They have to form a partnership with a Russian citizen(s), who actually own the land. What a bunch of fucking idiots. The West is better off w/o them.

Actually not. Ask the Feenstras, the Canadian couple who sold their farm and left Canada to escape seeing pride flags. Their bank account was frozen, he was taken by the Kremlin until she apologized for a YT video she put up criticizing Russia and the government, and forced to remove negative comments. They cannot become Russian citizens w/o passing a Russian language proficiency exam. None of them speak a word of Russian. When last reported upon (most recent I could find was from March 2024), they were living 10 people in a one-bedroom apartment. They cannot buy land in Russia w/o finding a Russian citizen(s) to partner with them; the Russian(s) will own the farm, not the Feenstras. The last I heard they were going to be deported.
