Republicans stopped being conservative, and paid the price

I'm not a socialist. Believing in society does not make one a socialist. You are so far right that you cant see the middle if you believe in the current Republican neo con ideology.

The neo-cons are not very right wing. Social Conservative is a misnomer when they seek to create laws to push a specific agenda they are reactionary. It would be better and more accurate to describe them as "Religious Reactionaries".

That being said, if we let the party go down the road where Religious Reactionary policy is more important than personal responsibility and fiscal conservatism we know what will happen. We will lose by a wide margin.

They will also lose membership from more sane actual conservative people.
