Running the government "like a corporation"

Think of who you're talking too. He thinks man determines how to behave from observing rituals. He's probably just having flashbacks to when his mommy showed him some porn.

Then they should have 90% say in how the money they contributed is spent. If you don't want them to have that much control, get George Soros and Barbara Streisand to pony up some income taxes and gain some power back. Or maybe, instead of the mantra about "taxing the rich" you could start saying "lower the tax for the rich" and get some politicians to go along with your idea? Hell, raise the taxes on the entitlement crowd and you can have your say on government funded health care! I don't care! Because, then it's your money and your decision.

It would make more sense to grant votes based on the percentage of money you paid in taxes instead of the total amount. Whenever a rich person pays 1% it just doesn't hurt him that much, but it's enough to swallow millions of average Americans.

And yes, I'd still oppose such a plan.

Total Percentage of Non-Paying Individuals
32% (OF THE PEOPLE WHO FILED A US FEDERAL INCOME TAX RETURN!) Doofus!

By FAR, more Americans DON'T pay taxes, than DO! 85 million DO... 215 Million DON'T! What are you NOT understanding about that??? I never argued that more tax filers didn't pay tax than did, I clearly said, more AMERICANS. Stop trying to twist my comments into lies you can attack, you shithead!

It's dishonest of you to include children and people who don't work in that number.

Then someone's statistics are wrong. 121 million and 85 million, is less than number of Americans, according to the census. Sooooooooo.............?????

Where are you getting 85 million? That's the number of tax returns, moron. Not the number of people.

I'll tell you who's got their numbers wrong. You do. You were wrong, wrong wrong.

Here's a little help with the math.

121 million Americans—or 41 percent of the U.S. population

about 300 million (number of Americans) x 0.41 = 123 million. The numbers they're working with were from 2006 too, so fewer Americans.

It adds up, schmuck.

No, my statement was... "More Americans don't pay tax, than do."

There are roughly 300 million total Americans.

and 85 Million tax paying Americans.

Do the math!!

Now, you are trying to make me say: "More tax paying Americans don't pay tax, than do." ...but that would have been stupid for me to say, which is why I didn't say it, and also why I challenged you to prove my statement incorrect. You should spend more time trying to comprehend what you read, as opposed to trying to find ways to distort what has been said to make yourself look right.

Uh, no. Try reading what I posted.

For the THIRD time (if you had read it and not ignored it the first time, you'd have avoided 2/3s the embarrassment!)

"roughly 121 million Americans—or 41 percent of the U.S. population—will be completely outside the federal income tax system in 2006. This total includes those who pay no tax, and those who pay some tax upfront and are later refunded the full amount of the tax paid or more."

121 million Americans have 0 tax liability. 41 or 40 percent, depending on when you calculate the population. Thats less than a majority. It's very easy.

By the way, its 92 million RETURNS that have 0 liability. Not 85 million AMERICANS. 92 million returns that represent many, many more people than 92 million.

Population, (2006 estimate) 299,398,484

Filed Returns: 135,660,228
No Liability or Neg. Liability -43,362,718
Tax Returns PAYING TAX 92,297,510
Add +29% filing joint returns +26,766,277

Total Americans Paying Tax: 119,063,790 (39.7%)

As I said... More Americans don't pay tax, than do.

Thats not total Americans, dope. That's total tax returns paying tax. Hoping I wouldn't notice the difference? You start out calculating returns then end up with "Americans" then accuse me of trying to twist your words?

No. That's 119,000,000 RETURNS paying tax. Returns represent more than one person, most often. They say quite explicitly exactly how many AMERICANS aren't paying taxes to the feds. It's exactly 121,000,000. The rest are. That number includes children and people who do not file returns.

Nope it is total tax returns, adding the spouses (29%) of those filing joint returns. This is the actual number of Americans paying taxes, their dependents do not count as taxpayers. Dope!
