Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov appeared to slip up on Thursday as he described President Vladimir Putin's full-scale invasion of Ukraine as a "war" for the first time since the conflict began in February.

Lavrov made the admission at his annual news conference in Moscow, during which he also accused the U.S. and the military alliance NATO of playing a direct role in the war.

The Russians have been telling their armed forces that they are at war with America and the West almost from the jump.

After a year of (now dead) Russian soldiers phoning home to tell family that there are no Nazis, and they don't want to kill innocents.

Everyone knows it's a war, and Putin is committing war crimes.

Sure they would, no different than what the Uk’s are doing. Big difference in that Russians aren’t fighting for their survival. They’re fighting for Putins survival.

That's bullcrap. The next Russian leader will be further to the right than Putin. The UK is going bankrupt by going along with US foreign policy. Willing to fight and paid to fight will be determined after the collapse of dollar.

Russia ranks 11th in GDP behind six other countries directly bankrolling the Uk’s war effort. Combine all them along with other western countries and the fact that Ukraine is fighting for it’s very survival, I just don’t see how Russia will be able to keep up.

I think Russia is in the same position as it was just prior to the emergence of Gorbachev.

GDP is a construct determined by the American spreadsheet. More than half of US GDP comes from government spending. The US military is a socialist organization.

It took a lot of dollars to put it in that position. The homeless in the US can testify to that. The next Wall Street bailout is right around the corner.
