A rocket strike Saturday at a soccer field killed at least 11 children and teens, Israeli authorities said, in the deadliest strike on an Israeli target along the country's northern border since the fighting between Israel and the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah began. It raised fears of a broader regional war.

Israel blamed Hezbollah for the strike in the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights, but Hezbollah rushed to deny any role. Israel's military called it a “very serious” event and said it would act accordingly.

“Hezbollah fired a rocket at children playing soccer in northern Israel. It then lied and claimed they did not carry out the attack,” said the military's chief spokesman, Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari. He called it the deadliest attack on Israeli civilians since the Hamas attack on Oct. 7 that sparked the war in Gaza. He said 20 others were wounded.


“There is no doubt that Hezbollah has crossed all the red lines here, and the response will reflect that,” Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz told Israeli Channel 12. “We are nearing the moment in which we face an all-out war.”

The Golan Heights are not ' Northern Israel'. The Golan is occupied Syrian territory and - by international law- any illegal occupiers are legitimate targets as all states have the right to self defense.

How do you like the excuse that ' the football field concealed a MOSSAD training ground and arms cache ' ?

You go to war and one consequence is you lose land. Israel has had the Golan Heights since 1967 .....duh!
When I visited Israel in 1969 I entered one of the concrete bunkers the Syrians used to shoot down at the Israelis below.

Your ignorance , as a prosemite, is expected. Territory can never be gained by means of war . Annexations are illegal. The Golan is Syrian. Palestine is Palestinian. The Shaaba Farms are Lebanese. Israel is an illegal occupier.

Israel stomped Syria in a war Syria started and took the Golan Heights. Too bad for Syria, they lost because they don't know how to fight a fucking war. If Israel claimed that territory, then it's Israel's regardless of how much whining the Syrians, Arabs, or their radical Leftist apologizers say otherwise. That's what happens when you lose a war. The winner gets to decide the victory conditions.

Sure, the losers can go whine to some imbeciles at some worthless debating society like the UN or that international court, but real governments and real nations can simply tell them fuck off.
