Darla, I hate to throw a damper on your statistics, but Obama was the result of a teen pregnancy himself, so apparently, not all of them end up in crack houses on welfare.
I am also a 'teen pregnancy' example, and I have a college education and make more money than I deserve. My oldest child was born when I was just 19, and my wife was 18, she is an MBA who makes more money than I do, and has three kids, two of which, are honor students. Both of them were born before she turned 20.
I think, if you actually go out into the world and meet people who haven't sucked their babies down a tube for the sake of vanity and convenience, you will find this is often the rule and not the exception. Being raised in the face of adversity, often builds character and results in a more responsible and driven individual, and "thems the facts."
