That sorta was my point, although as Evince suggests...if there are no gods...even at death, we will not know.

In any case, the point I made was...it cannot be determined via logic, reason, science, or math.

I cant force my self to believe in things that there is no reason in a factual world to believe.


If any god exists

and that god wants me to act like Jesus suggested then it must be a good god

that good god would be good enough to understand why I didn't believe

and would be good enough to reward me for merely being a good person like jesus and other great thinkers wanted me to be.

they would be happier I tried to be good than to be obedient to merely win a spot in heaven


it is organized religion that taints the purity of the ideas of the great thinkers.

Organized religion is not designed for gods

its designed to create power for some human

when the catholic church builds castles for their popes while children starve how can anyone believe Jesus agrees


believe whatever is in your heart

don't organize

Organized religion creates the perfect scaffolding for sociopaths to climb to power over others

My take on this would be worded differently...and add one thing. I would say,

"If there is a GOD and the GOD wants me to conduct myself the way Jesus taught...I have no problem with that at all.But if the GOD wanted me to conduct myself the way the god that Jesus worshiped taught......no dice!

I admire the teachings of Jesus...and pretty much conduct my life in accordance with the love and caring Jesus advocated. BUT...

...the god that Jesus worshiped...sucks.

I'll assume this was addressed to me...although that is not certain.

As I said in the OP...

It just cannot be done...or at least, I am asserting that it cannot. I've tried...never come close. I've challenged hundreds of others to give it a shot...none has ever come close.

I am inviting anyone who can prove the assertion wrong...or show substantially that it most likely is wrong...to do so.

Comments would be appreciated.

Proving me wrong would be even more appreciated.

I am acknowledging I may be wrong, Dexter. I cannot substantiate the assertion beyond my experience.

Are you suggesting that you can show the assertion to be wrong.

I'd be delighted if you could.
