No, that was supposed to point out that the guy you are voting for has few discernable signs of life. If I wanted to make you smile, I’d post pictures of dead Iraqi children. You know, porn for repukes.

No, it's because you hop on threads like this one, and without any clear indication of what inspires it, you write a remark like "remember not to follow anyone blindly" and imply that Obama supporters are acting like sheep, on a thread that is critical of Obama.

no because i had to turn the station this am on the way to work. Listening to weei a sports station and they are going off on how obama is full of shit spouting off hope but making sure not to have girls with head scarfs in the camera angle. It was annoying to listen to them but its a point to consider. They all do the same thing and its dangerous to have irrational exuberance over any politician.

Well, I agree in a way, but on the other hand, obama can’t change everything all by himself you know. You have people posting these bullshit muslim Manchurian candidate stuff all over the internet. We live in a bigoted society. The Republican machine has reved up fear of Muslims. They’ve tried to turn him into a secret Muslim. What really, is Obama supposed to do to change all of this? I’m not looking for a martyr either, though Republicans would love if we gave them one. This guy has to win.
 
he cant win that situation thats why i got annoyed and changed the channel. Not going to listen to a republican bashing him over that. If you put them in the picture it would be in all the obama is a Muslim commercials. take them out of the pics and hes disingenuous. He chose option 2 as its less of a headline and less ammo.

make no mistake about it. you have to be highly motivated and willing to compromise your values to run for elected office. That alone makes it a lesser of two evils vote because the good was checked at the door on the way in.

Well excluding this particular thread, many of you are acting that way.

I'm sure you don't realize it and will respond with some variation of: NO!!!!!!!1111, but it's true.

Don't get carried away here. Useful advice. And many many many Obama supporters are acting like sheep. That is undeniable. This board has been a bit better than the average voter but still not immune from hero worship.

It's way, way exaggerated at this point. Really, you can't say anything positive about Obama now without someone chiming in that you think he's the messiah. I thought Chap's comment on this thread was just plain weird; it didn't seem to apply to anyone that had posted.

When I think of most of the people who I know on this board will likely vote Obama, the majority of them are hardly fanatics, and all have expressed some criticism or doubts about Obama over the months. I can't think of any offhand who had Obama as their first choice last fall.

It's gone too far; people are allowed to be excited about a candidate, and understand that he or she is still a politician.

The intelligent conservatives and libertarians (admittedly a thinning number) are usually more reserved about pointing it out.
 
Wow, BAC. Liberal but Honest. What a Concept! I always have more respect for a man who doesn't flip-flop, stands by his Principles. With Bill Clinton, he HAD no principles, 'till Focus Groups GAVE them to him. I think MOST Democrats, and many Repub.s, work that way.

But I'll let you in on a little-known fact, food fro thought. Both Hillary Clinton, AND Barack Obama, SOUGHT OUT AND GOT ADVICE, from................Pres. George W. Bush , in recent months. When a reporter/author asked Bush why he would DO that, in a Campaign season, he replied, "Look, it's possible one of them may be in this chair, in the future. I wanted to help them avoid saying something that would affect our Foreign Policy, and then find out later they didn't HAVE ALL THE INFORMATION.
It seems shortly after this "advice", was when Obama changed, and gave the statement, "I can't PROMISE that all the troops will be out of Iraq, by 2013." You see, it's EASY to Bash a sitting President, and his actions, when you don't KNOW all the info.
Bush gave BOTH of them info they didn't KNOW ABOUT, hence the change, in opinion.
 
And I'm sorry, but Epi is ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. The Man-Crush that the Alphabet Networks, CNN, ESPECIALLY MESS-NBC, Keith Olbermann, he DEFINITELY wants a date with Barack. They have said not WORD ONE about his associations, with people that would DISQUALIFY ANY OTHER CANDIDATE IN HISTORY! I really don't know what is HAPPENING to this country! It's like half the population is HYPNOTIZED!

Look, I've said it before- In the beginning, I WAS CHARMED. I thought the guy was an Incredible Public Speaker, still do, only NOW I know, its only when he has a teleprompter.
But WAY more importantly, NOW I know about his HISTORY. His All-Important HISTORY, and his ASSOCIATIONS, which are the ONLY 2 things we can judge his Character on, seeing his Resume is so thin.
