Trial predictions?

I doubt it, I have more faith in the jury system than to imagine the audience often affects them much.

It’s my belief that usually a jury bases their decision on the evidence and the law. Not always.
Other than "I didn't boink her," what defense is Trump's team presenting here?

No... I said that's what it should be.... but it''s impossible to predict the outcome of a sham... Although aren't there jurors who are attorneys? How could they decide for anything but acquittal?
Is this the same kind of sham jury trial that you claimed convicted Chauvin for murdering George Floyd? Funny how all the trials with outcomes you don't like are "shams." But not funny ha-ha. More like funny

Prediction; Trump found to be guilty of working for AIPAC and jailed for life for being orange.

It seems the trumpets are adamant that there was no crime charged and no evidence of a crime in Trumps NY trial.

The non-trumpers see that a crime was charged and that evidence was presented.

Looks like closing Arguments might start as soon as Monday.

So what is your prediction?

I never know what a jury is going to do, but I think this one could go either way. There is evidence for every element of the crimes, but if the jury believes it all adds up to reasonable doubt or not, I cannot guess.

My gut says they will not be an outright acquittal, so if I had to guess I would say hung jury or conviction.

From my view, a single misdemeanor conviction would be enough for justice to at least start.
My guess:

There is no way it will be an outright acquittal.

Hung jury --- 65%

Guilty on all counts --- 35%

If the verdict does not come in quickly (within one day) it will be a hung jury which the judge will ask for more consideration.

If it remains a hung jury...the judge will declare a mistrial and the prosecution can retry the case if they want.

If it is declared a mistrial...Trump and his supporters will claim total vindication for their side. If he is found guilty, Trump and his supporters will claim all sorts of bullshit.

We are, after all, dealing with Trump and his supporters.

Trump’s lawyers eviscerated the convicted, lying perjurer, Cohen, who has been dis-barred.
Trump's lawyers did not even come close to "eviscerating" Cohen. They probably did more good for the prosecution's case than they did from Trump. This group of lawyers is NOT the best money can buy...by a long shot.

We all know Trump and his supporters will declare a victory, no matter what happens.

I think they will do better today.

what do you think the effect of Robert Costello's statements before Congress yesterday will have on cross examination today.......you know, his statement that he can prove Cohen has been perjuring himself all week?......

by the end of prosecutor's case either a directed verdict and a serious possibility that Bragg will lose his license to practice law.......the prosecutor is now obligated to inform the court there is direct evidence Cohen has perjured himself and that there is a witness on the his list (who he has never called) who can prove it........will the prosecutor meet that obligation?......not meeting that obligation will likely lead to disbarment......

I think Abbot's counterpart Costello's speech will have 0 affect as Cohen knows its lies. Costello is playing to an audience of one.

So you believe this 'corrupt judge' will enter a directed verdict?

The prosecutor has no such obligation resulting from an unsubstantiated speech by a Politian.
