Trump "Hands off" protests fizzle rather than sizzle

just count the legs and divide by 2.

If you look over the top of the Fox building you will see that the line of people turns the corner and goes back down 6th st.
The estimate is 3,000 in Phoenix.

It seems you even believe your own lies.
It doesn't. Less than 2000 except by the event planner's estimates and those are clearly exaggerated. Tucson's event is no different.

It had people lining a sidewalk along 22nd St. at Reid Park. Much of the "crowd" was one deep.

Organizers estimate 4-5K turned out for the protest.

It was about half that based on the area the protesters covered, and their density based on photos.

It does not matter how many were there, you were going to call it a disappointment.
If this were anything like the massive protests in 2016, I'd be far less disparaging of it. This time it was a bust. The 2016 protests were massive, and they went on for several months. This was one day and the protests were underwhelming.

Niiiiice flip-flop, Terry.

For example, here in Arizona there were several. In Phoenix, hundreds showed up for a short march and protest at the capitol. Blue, more Progressive, Tucson had one that was a bit bigger. There was another in Sedona (lots of California transplants there) that saw dozens show up.

The reporting on this event has been subdued at best. It isn't grabbing headlines. Thus, all fizzle, no sizzle.

Expected turnout is not the same thing as actual turnout.

U.S. Rep. Yassamin Ansari, D-Phoenix, speaks to an estimated 3,000 people who gathered at the Arizona Capitol on April 5, 2025, to protest President Donald Trump and his administration.

Who should we believe? T.A who wasn't there or the FOX TV station that the protesters walked past?
What we know:

The streets of downtown Phoenix became a pathway for thousands of protesters telling President Trump and Elon Musk "Hands off" when it comes to plans to shutter some Social Security offices, National Park buildings and federal healthcare programs.

Who should we believe? T.A who wasn't there or a conservative National news source with video?
Thousands of protesters exercised their First Amendment rights in protest of President Donald Trump and Elon Musk on April 5, 2025.

It seems that T.A. has to convince himself that his delusions are real.

Math beats opinions by vested interests.

Yesterday was supposed to be the Left's big day of nationwide protests against Trump and his actions. There were a few bigger ones in deep blue cities on the coasts while elsewhere, the turnout was unimpressive.
I've been noticing this more and more. The cameras have to use closeups to make the tiny crowd seem bigger than it really is.
For example, here in Arizona there were several. In Phoenix, hundreds showed up for a short march and protest at the capitol. Blue, more Progressive, Tucson had one that was a bit bigger. There was another in Sedona (lots of California transplants there) that saw dozens show up.
And the ones that do show up are often paid. That's why you find some of them traveling from State to State (or from the SDTC into the States).

Exactly. Doesn't stop them from becoming violent though, which will happen more as the weather improves. (It will probably die down a bit in AZ, due to the hot summers you have there!)

Migrating like snowbirds.

They were a huge success,
Failure is not success, Barfly. Another example is a loser serving drinks to losers.
and millions turned out. Attendance FAR exceeded expectations.
In your dreams, Barfly.
What are you talking about? You're going by your local protests? I saw a ton of coverage. I have no idea where you're getting that reporting has been "subdued." It was all day coverage.
CNN and MSNBC are bored. Camera tricks do not increase the numbers of protesters, Barfly.
As always - you post wishful thinking, not facts.
Go learn what 'fact' means, Barfly. It does NOT mean Universal Truth.
Like your comments on Booker's speech, and Roe being overturned.
Roe was overturned, Barfly.
