Trump pleaded the fifth more than 400 times in fraud deposition

Don't know who that is, don't care. Violence is what they do.

He's the leading Stooge of the Three Stooges...

Video released on Tuesday showed Donald Trump answering questions from the New York state attorney general, Letitia James, in a deposition in a civil fraud case late last summer.

Questioned about his financial affairs, the former president repeatedly invoked his fifth-amendment right against self-incrimination – part of a refusal to answer he repeated more than 400 times.

For the one millionth time why should he aid them in their prosection of them? If they have the evidence to convict him it doesn't matter if he speaks or not. How is it you people wake up more stupid than you were the day before?

The JPP forum idiot speaks.

What is Trump trying to hide? Why won't Trump tell the truth?

Utilizing the right to remain silent cannot be taken as evidence of a crime. Though instead of invoking the right I personally would "not recall" anything at all.
Yes it can. This is a civil case.

He can't use the dementia defense. Once he starts answering questions he's in trouble.

What is Trump trying to hide? Why won't Trump tell the truth?
Because the truth is damning.

Whereas he wouldn't actually say the words when he invoked (to avoid the soundbite), it was great to see the rage in his eyes as the lawyer dared to disrespect him with questions.

Because it's a civil case he was being deposed for - taking the 5th can hurt him. He's on record refusing to answer whether or not he agreed to cook the books. It's not going to go well for him - he'll get fined another amount he can afford.

There won't be justice until some DA indicts him criminally.
Another reason he cannot answer.

It could be used in his criminal trial

You are an idiot. Kafkatrapping is a recognized and defined logical fallacy.

The fallacy called kafkatrapping doesn’t represent an argument as much as it represents an accusation. Named after the famous Franz Kafka’s novel The Trial in which the main character is accused of an unknown crime. The only evidence is his denial of guilt.

The fallacy occurs not with the accusation but with the verdict.

https://listoffallacies.com/kafkatr...,not with the accusation but with the verdict.

You suggest that because Trump took the fifth repeatedly that his obviously guilty (implied) because of his refusal to answer questions asked of him. Only a guilty man would refuse to answer questions under oath...

That's the epitome of Kafkatrapping named after Kafka's work, The Trial.
This is not a criminal trial.

By design

Our laws are to protect the guilty as part of Blackstone's Ratio. It worked for both OJ and Hillary and now it'll work for Trump.

Trump habitually pleads the Fifth to hide his crimes. Is there really any doubt he committed fraud?

In early 2016 when he first began running for president, he was advised that it wasn't a good idea due to his history of shady business practices and the scrutiny that follows presidential nominees. Like General Kelley warning Trump about being impeached, Trump blew off the advice. Now he's whining about witch hunts.

Despite his guilt, I strongly doubt Trump will ever spend a single night in jail. A billion dollars buys a lot of justice in America.

Hillary testified for 11 hours without taking the 5th once. She provided every document the Reds commission asked for without court delays and summonses. Trump and the rightys called her crooked Hillary. But Trump is covering up and using courts to delay justice. Which one of them acted as an innocent person?

Not "maybe", legal Truth (capital T style).

Trump has been a caricature of a human and childlike in his simplicity all his life, but I doubt you have any actual evidence of criminality.
We don’t? I beg to differ, you just look at his charities, Trump University, and his taxes. Fraud is a crime.

...and perjury is a crime. Ergo, the best option is the Fifth Amendment.

His body language was fun to watch. He was very angry.

Correct. (Benghazi) But Dutch throws Hillary's name into every discussion about crime out of habit.

The 5th did NOT work for OJ in his civil trial. Of course, he chose to open his big mouth instead of using it.

This civil case is going to recover another $1.5 million in penalties, but it will also lay a foundation for a future criminal trial.

On Benghazi? Yes because she had nothing to tell. She didn't know anything.

The Republicans were fucking morons for going after her instead of Obama.

You're free to believe all three are 100% not guilty.
