Trump's kids and former staffers get Secret Service protection at taxpayers' expense

Proof enough that the USA has a dumbass Constitution if it is allowing for this crap. Trump and his crime family incite violence at the Capitol and they get protection? :wall:

Someone needs to pull the plug on this thievery!

THANKS TO OBAMA:

That’s what happened three years ago when President Barack Obama signed legislation that restored lifetime Secret Service protection to former presidents and their spouses along with children until they are 16. It’s the latest chapter in a 60-year debate over just how much money should be spent on the nation’s former chief executives, who in the modern era generally have been far from destitute. And with the rancor that now often fills the nation’s capital, it’s a good bet the subject may arise again.

trump children, trumps family are almost entirely over 16, so what excuse do you use now?

I wonder what Cinnibun has to say about lying in the OP......after all, the article he posted states that SS coverage is only until a president' child is under 16 and Trump's children obviously aren't, as one of his compatriots has kindly acknowledged.......

Really?

It only applies to TWO former presidents, G.W. Bush and Obama.

George H. and Clinton George H., got rid of his detail years before he died, Clinton got rid of his detail years ago too.

NOTHING compared to what the orange grifter did.

As one of Donald Trump's final abuses of the office of the presidency, he extended Secret Service Protection beyond himself and his wife Melania –– as is guaranteed in the Former Presidents Act –– to 14 additional family members and former administration staffers, The Washington Post reported on Wednesday.

Those protected by Trump's 11th-hour directive will include his youngest son Barron (until he's sixteen), Tiffany Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump, and members of their own families. Trump also saw to it that many of his former staff receive the same protections, including Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, and former National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien. Vice President Pence and his wife, Karen Pence, are also included.

Grifter is going to grift, costing Americans millions.

where are you on banker bailouts?

where are you on banker bailouts?

More privileged takers passed by teabaggers.

The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, often called the "bank bailout of 2008," was proposed by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, passed by the 110th United States Congress, and signed into law by President George W. Bush. The act became law as part of Public Law 110-343 on October 3, 2008, in the midst of the financial crisis of 2007–08. The law created the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) to purchase toxic assets from banks. The funds for purchase of distressed assets were mostly redirected to inject capital into banks and other financial institutions while the Treasury continued to examine the usefulness of targeted asset purchases.

The total cost of the bailout to the government were as much as $700 billion, however TARP recovered funds totalling $441.7 billion from $426.4 billion invested, earning a $15.3 billion profit or an annualized rate of return of 0.6% and perhaps a loss when adjusted for inflation.

Not bad compared to Dotard's $48 billion farmer bailout they don't even have to pay back.

No, it wasn't wrong, just as long as there was a repayment plan, at the time, I thought their was no way in hell they were going to pay it back and the government would be stuck with billions of worthless, mortgages, companies, houses and a colossal mess.

I thought it was wrong at the time but it was what needed to be done and it worked out.

Really?

The US was losing 600,000 jobs a month, you wanted to get that number up to 1.5 million in the months that followed?

Bet you don't want the government to step in with corona virus, that has similar numbers, people dying, people losing their homes and waiting in food lines.

Fascist?

I don't think you know, what you think it means.

Fascist-noun A governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.
