W.

The sad thing is about 30% of them still believe that Sadam was involved in 911...
To be fair, the vast majority of those are people who believe that there is no evidence, but think that sometimes people can hide their involvement in things.

Ohh the same kind of stuff you pick on me about ?

Ie Iraq being about oil ?
for one instance.

There is no reason to be "fair" on this one. Most people cling to it out of nothing but stubborn insistence, because they are unable to admit they were wrong or stupid (see: Dixie).

These people don't deserve fairness; they deserve scorn. They deserve to have their voter registration permanently revoked.

Yep we have had evidence from many sources saying Sadam was not linked, but people keep believeing it anyway.

Thanks Desh. And since then there has been studies by our govt and others showing no link. But about 30% still believe.....
30% of our people are just plain mentally defunct.

You believe that's why W. won in '04?

I don't think it's as simple as any one reason, but yeah, I think the fact that the admin was able to brainwash enough people into believing Saddam was tied to 9/11, along with the usual fearmongering of "if you elect Democrats you'll die," had a lot to do with it. Americans are essentially stupid, but 2004 was like a perfect storm of stupidity.

That poll was in Sept. 2003. People didn't vote until Nov. 2004 if you are claiming that poll is the reason W. won re-election.

No Im sugesting that the results of the poll showing people were not getting the facts were the reason Bush was able to steal the election.

That is not evidence of a current statistic on how many believe Saddam was involved in 9/11 currently. A poll from September 2003 certainly is not evidence of current understanding.

She claims Republicans don't vote on 'facts'. Supposedly this poll she attached is the reason W won re-election in '04.
