If the story is to be believed, Harris has about 1% Ulster Scots ancestry. That would not be much of that, and it would not be Irish. It is Scottish people who colonized Ireland.

Powell was considered an Uncle Tom and as Harry Belafonte called him, a "house slave". Powell is far from the first black person to be called that and have their blackness questioned.

As we saw with Nikki Haley and the obsession that her Mom called her by her middle name since birth, people questioned whether she was really Indian.

Long history of it in this country.
