Frost was a "Jeffersonian Democrat."

In other words, nothing like the Democrats of today.

He was critical of FDR's New Deal. Read the Notebooks of Robert Frost.

But even if he were a communist, what difference would it make? Must I agree with everything a poet believes in order to read their poetry?

Great point. John Steinbeck's politics are to the left of mine but I still consider him one of our nations greatest writers.
