Wind & solar combined with batteries will solve sustainable energy for Earth

I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that the main goal of the "Save the Planet" creeps is to hurt humans, the planet is nothing but an excuse.

You're known to judge others by your own standards. You termed me a ' liar ', for example. Perma ban for you, asshole.

Well, you've come to some very whacky conclusions here on JPP lately. Like concluding that Trump won the 2020 election.
So, don't stop with your silly, inane 'conclusions'. They're very amusing.

COVID proves even more conclusively that the wrong people are in charge.

This does not end well.

If not Doctors and Scientists, who do you think should've been in charge of COVID?

Politicians? This guy?

AMERICANS REACT TO TESLA BEING NAMED THE CHEAPEST LUXURY CAR BRAND TO MAINTAIN: ‘I WILL NEVER OWN A GAS CAR AGAIN’
“I haven’t spent a dime in seven years.”

by Laurelle Stelle*/*February 3, 2023

In a recent study by The Clunker Junker, Tesla vehicles claimed the victory of being the cheapest luxury car brand to maintain.
The outlet looked at data from CarEdge about the 185 most popular models in the U.S., covering the last 10 years up to September 2022. It analyzed each car’s maintenance costs over that time period as a percentage of its purchase price and divided the results into standard and luxury categories.
Tesla’s prices put it in the luxury group, where the company’s rock-bottom maintenance costs won the top spot on the chart — not just among electric vehicles, but among all vehicles in that class.

Tesla’s average maintenance cost was 7.09% of the car’s value, compared to 12.28% for the next best, Lexus. The best individual car was a Tesla Model S at 4.58%, followed by the Model X in second place and the Model 3 in fourth.
This is great news for Tesla buyers, who can expect easy maintenance over their next decade of driving. It’s also good news for reducing pollution in our communities. Because they don’t use gasoline, electric vehicles reduce the need for extensive oil drilling that pollutes nearby water and soil, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

This is simple a fallacy of affirming the consequent. There is plenty of data to show that government is heavily involved in using incentives and mandates to push people into buying EV vehicles. The header you use is nothing but anecdote. It is as uselessly stupid as some celebrity endorsement for a product you don't need.

This drivel is then followed by more talking points that do nothing to strengthen your argument. Luxury vehicles are a niche market. Few buyers can afford such vehicles and those that can often have alternatives available to them in owning multiple vehicles. Some of it is just arguing for status symbols like it reduces pollution. If you don't care particularly, or recognize that EV's pollute too, and in some ways more, then this is an irrelevance to your purchasing one.

THIS EV BATTERY CAN TRAVEL OVER 750 MILES ON A SINGLE CHARGE: ‘FUNDAMENTALLY REINVENT THE BATTERY’
The battery was able to power a Tesla Model S for an incredible 752 miles across Michigan on a single charge.

The Gemini battery from manufacturer Our Next Energy (ONE) promises to give electric vehicles a greater range than ever before.
In a December 2021 road test, ONE’s first Gemini prototype was able to power a Tesla Model S for an incredible 752 miles across Michigan on a single charge.
A third party validated the impressive results using a vehicle dynamometer.

U.S. ELECTRIC VEHICLE SALES SOAR INTO ‘24

January 26, 2024 | By: Peter Slowik, Aaron Isenstadt
Is demand for electric vehicles (EVs) slowing in the United States? The short answer is no. Light-duty EV sales data from the Alliance for Automotive Innovation shows continued and significant growth in the United States from 2021 through the third quarter of 2023. Figure 1 illustrates the increase in quarterly sales (bars, left axis) and EV sales shares (red line, right axis). EV sales increased from about 125,000 in Q1 2021 to 185,000 in Q4 2021 and from about 300,000 in Q1 2023 to 375,000 in Q3 2023. The year 2023 also marked the first time annual U.S. EV sales surpassed 1 million, and this was achieved by Q3; sales through the first three quarters of 2023 were about 58% higher than the same period in 2022.

Elon Musk tweeted a few hours ago.

In 2022, wind and solar together generated more electricity in Europe than coal and gas, respectively and this is just the start.

Malarky. They can't keep the lights one without buying power from Nuclear powered France.

The only way these primitive and unreliable sources of energy can provide enough power is if we just shut down industry and starve.
