Bullshit. Our private school system, creating an education gap between rich and poor. Verticle management structure, allowing wages and advancement to be determined by employers. Are these the policies of people wanting "everyone to live up to their God-given potential and achieve as much as they can"?

Aren't liberals in charge of public schools? What conservative is against public schools?

No, it's not. It's freedom for parents to choose, provided they're in an economic position to do so.

And the GOP has been pushing cuts to public education, not its elimination entirely.

Yet the GOP has been pushing school choice for a long time, and you Democrats won't have any of that. Why don't you want poor parents to be able to opt out of public schools as well?
