WND: Apparently the Governor Can't Find the Birth Certificate

Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie suggested in an interview published today that a long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate for Barack Obama may not exist within the vital records maintained by the Hawaii Department of Health.

Abercrombie told the Honolulu Star Advertiser he was searching within the Hawaii Department of Health to find definitive vital records that would prove Obama was born in Hawaii, because the continuing eligibility controversy could hurt the president's chances of re-election in 2012.

Donalyn Dela Cruz, Abercrombie's spokeswoman in Honolulu, ignored again today another in a series of repeated requests made by WND for an interview with the governor.

Toward the end of the interview, the newspaper asked Abercrombie: "You stirred up quite a controversy with your comments regarding birthers and your plan to release more information regarding President Barack Obama's birthcertificate. How is that coming?"

In his response, Abercrombie acknowledged the birth certificate issue will have "political implications" for the next presidential election "that we simply cannot have."

M'eh. It's salient. Even the Governor realizes that they'll have to bring it out next election. Some states passed laws requiring it in order to get on their ballot.

So, are you claiming the President of the United States of America may not be allowed on the ballot in some states?

I think you are being ridiculous. All the law requires is documentation required of all of us at one time or another. The OMGZorz! There will be Warz if we require somebody to actually show a document required at one time or another from everybodiez!!!11shiftplusone...

If he doesn't supply simple documentation, then he'd be keeping himself off the ballot. It's just nonsensical "threat-speak" to pretend that there will be revolution because somebody is asked for a document that those who would "revolt" had to supply numerous times in their own lives.

Your exaggerated fear-speak is just nonsense. He'll have to supply a simple document that you, yourself, have had to supply at other times in your life. He'll either do that or he will decide not to run at all.

He has provided a birth certificate, and there is evidence like newspaper announcements that prove he was born in Hawaii.

If a state finds a way to keep him off the ballot, it will be by some nefarious technicality based on partisanship.

:lol: 'It's conservatives fault that The Obama is not qualified to be president and States insist that the constitution be followed.'
 
Of course, the governor doing this interview is probably more damaging then Obama failing to produce the "documentation," thus far, but I'm sure the governor is an intelligent fellow...

he should provide a copy to Hawaii then, cuz they can't find it......
