Former ACORN Director Gets $445 Mil From U.S. Treasury

It is quite comical listening to the left on this. None of you can comprehend that the 15 was in one year and that the phrase over 15 indicated that the 15 was the minimum?

But then Zappa comes in trying to ride to Darla's rescue and he does so by trying to also mock 'multitude'???? ROFLMAO... yes dear Zappa. at least 15 convictions in one year is indeed a multitude. Do you know what the word means or should I provide you with a definition?

No...a "multitude" is what Jesus fed with the loaves and fishes.

In other words...a whole lot more than 15.

LMAO... the word means a large number... it is going to be used in context to what is being discussed. 15 convictions for one entity in one year is a very large number.

15 fish for a crowd of thousands is not a very large number. You see how context matters?

ACORN is, and always was corrupt and so was McGavin.....just more of Democrats doing their best to bankrupt the country by following the plan of Cloward & Piven, two professors at Columbia University. They outlined a plan to socialize America by overwhelming the system with government spending and entitlement demands.

Yeah, ACORN was so corrupt it policed itself, when it found that one of its workers turned in phoney registrations it notified the proper authorities. These phoney registrations have not been used to vote, but we're turne in so these workers could be paid for work not done. It want the organization that was corrupt, but workers within the orgnization. The GOP, McCain needing a campaign theme against Obama, jumped on this and the lies followed.

Fuck you SF. I proved you and Damo wrong on this thread. The claims that O'Keefe went into ACORN dressed as a pimp debunked. Claims of voter fraud, debunked. Claims that the defunding had nothing to do with the video hoax, debunked.

well, actually......no......all you've succeeded in is embarrassing yourself.....

two undercover, enterprising young people equipped with a hidden camera walked into an ACORN office, posing as an over-the-top pimp and prostitute wanting to establish a brothel dealing in enslaved children from other countries, ACORN employees offered them advice: how to get on welfare; how to cheat the tax system; how to get housing from the government; how to hide the criminal profit (a tin in your backyard, natch).

It happened....we watched it with out own eyes.....get over it....then fuck off

Boy, are you behind the times.

It was the organization that saw a minimum of 15 employees convicted of registration fraud in 2010 alone. Taxpayers should not be funding any organization with a poor record like that.

LOL... yeah, because we are all positive that with all the registration fraud that no voter fraud occurred. ACORN was defunded because time and again their employees were caught committing fraud. They were a dishonest group that should in no way have been funded with tax payer dollars.

They have been in existence ince 1970. This was the result of an over zealous pundit and his cohorts making mountins out of mole hills. There have been in most every state instances of voter fraud registration, those employed to collect signatures fudge to do less work and receive the pay. If you study the history of this group, they have done wonderful things for the poor and middle class in their communities.

It is really a shamewhat was one to them.

Yes, they have done good. I am not disputing that. But what they did in the 70's is irrelevant to the behavior and lack of leadership they exhibited at the time they were defunded by the Democrat led Congress and President Obama. 15 convictions is what happened in 2010. That shows a serious lack of control. They should have been defunded. Taxpayers should not be paying for such activities with organizations who cannot control their employees.

Would you be so forgiving if it was JP Morgan or Goldman Sachs? If 15 of their employees were convicted this year of fraud, would you not want any special funding etc... ripped away from them?

Exactly how many JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs personnel have been convicted up to now?

One year, do you have numbers for prior years? They have been in existence since 1970. You are building your own mountin out of a mole hill. You don't throw the baby out with the bath water.

I understand they have been in existence since 1970. But they have not been under the same leadership since then. We do not blame those that began Enron for the scandals that occurred during Ken Lay's tenure. Nor do I hold those from the 1970's/1980's accountable for the failed leadership of the ACORN of the 2000's. The point is that they had 15 in one friggin year. It is not a shock that funding was pulled from such an organization. If those convictions had occurred in the 1980's or 1990's and used to justify pulling funding now, that would not make sense. It is irrelevant how many convictions they had in prior years, but to be clear I do not have the numbers. I honestly do not know if anyone has taken the time to compile them.

Man....you're full of cliches aren't you ?

You're worried about prior years.....?.....you and yours having been preaching for decades that the problem doesn't exist, therefore no one took the allegations
seriously and no real investigations were ever done.....even though, after the fact we learned about LBJ stuffing the ballot boxes in Texas on a regular basis and
the dishonesty of elections in Chicago when Mayor Daley was running the show are notorious.....

Of course, only a fool would claim our elections have been flawless and on the up and up.....there have been crooked elections since elections started....
only those that benefit from crooked elections claim they are honest.....
And only a stupid fool would allow non-citizens the right to vote in ANY election.

That's right...spin and wriggle and twist.

Do ANYTHING so you won't have to admit you were full of it when you claimed there were "countless" convictions.

For everyone besides the desperate SF, there is no context in which the number 15 appears to be a "large" number.

Try reading the thread in its entirety moron. Long ago I stated the 'countless' term was an exaggeration. Obviously if someone compiles the data the total can be counted.

You don't think 15 convictions for one business/non-profit is a large number of convictions for one year? LMAO... talk about desperate... you tried to appear smart, yet you once again have shown yourself to be the fool.

You're caught in hyberbole both ways. 15 certainly isn't countless, and even though you admit that, it's clear you were using exaggeration to a high degree. 1,000 wouldn't even be countless; nor would 10,000.

As for 15 being "a lot," or whatever characterization you're going for, it would certainly need context.
