a new tactic in the fed war on med mj

That's inane. I was going to let it just slide, because massive over-generalizing is one of your defining characteristics - but it's simply inane.

You don't really read my posts.
I don't read all of them, because they are generally all the same. You, Dung, Darla, Christie and Rana. You all support Obama and democrats and when one steps out of line, all we get is 'i'm disappointed', but you will still vote for them over any other candidate out there. The same will apply with this issue. Obama may or may not address the issue if its asked and you will be disappointed, but you will still vote for them. the koolaid is strong in that one.

I've said at least 2 dozen times that I am not voting for Obama this year. I am 100% against him on wars, mj, corporate influence, etc. I am not voting for the guy.

Suck it. Take your "everyone is Joe Liberal" inanity to a board where people are gullible enough to buy it.

I am with you Onceler, I am so angry about his use of droids, his letting his AG run amok, and his corporate ass kissing. I just can't vote or him, either. He has one some great things, but he has disappointed in too many areas for me to be able to vote for him in good conscience.

There was a story last week that should have been huge, but went away in about a day; I was surprised that no one posted about it here. One of Obama's people who was overseeing the drafting the healthcare bill emailed a big pharma lobbyist to assure them that they'd keep restrictions on drug imports so that prices wouldn't go down, because of all pharma had done to help.

Meet the new boss, same as the ol' boss.

Holy crap! That is a huge story and you know why it isn't big news, the conservatives are right there with him. Thanks or bringing to my attention. We the people can't catch a break.

the liberals and conservatives cannot help themselves, you included. the political estabishment has y'all so brainwashed and terrified that the other party is going to ruin america and enslave us all, so you have to vote for them to save ourselves. you can't help it.

exactly.
"drones" not droids, but droids will come soon enough. I like to call this GWOT (global war on terror) "Crusades 2.0".Like the Crusades, no winners, just exaustive wastes of human lives over an idea.
There is no end in sight ( I think the latest AQ #2 "killed" actually survived) - but there will always be another to take their place.

Obama/Romney.......let that horror sink in for a bit...... 4 more years of corprorate rule anyway it's sliced. endless war either way.
I'm voting for Gary Johnson a libertarian -not as radical as RP, and he was a good N.M. Gov. is an independent thinker, and worked many years with NORML
( to stay on subject)

I am looking at Johnson, but I do want to hear him speak a little more before I decide.

one of the side effects are the feeling the skin is hot, and itching.
Depends on how you tolerate them, they don't bother me. Hope you can cool off, and try calomine lotion, or just a cool bath. I'm sure you've though of this.

Droids was actualy a good term, that's the next cyberbatlefield -where all this is headed.
I was gonna go Green, but don't think Floriduh has them on the ballot, an i REALLY like Johnson; by all means though, check him out, he's not perfect, see if you can live with his flaws.

I disagree w/ you. Something like legalized marijuana would probably add to the apathy of the populace.

If you want to talk about gov't control, it's more about diversions. Keep people busy, keep them drunk, keep them stoned, keep them diverted. I don't see the overt controlling interest in making sure that people don't get high.

as I was saying, and yet you continue to remain ignorant.....

http://www.ksdk.com/news/article/323643/3/James-Tebeau-pleads-guilty-to-federal-drug-charges-

A 44-year-old Shannon County man pleaded guilty Tuesday to growing marijuana on his property, which included campgrounds, used for weekend music festivals, U.S. Attorney Richard Callahan said.

According to court documents, between 2004 and October 2010, James Tebeau owned and operated a campground consisting of approximately 350 acres known as Camp Zoe.

Tebeau would host music festivals at Camp Zoe, which he called "Schwagstock" or "Spookstock," advertising the events in several publications. Tebeau admitted to being aware that the term "schwag" was slang for marijuana, but said he did not participate in drug sales conducted on campgrounds nor did he receive funds from those sales.

Prosecutors said James Tebeau charged each person who attended a music festival at his campground $60 admission. Attendance ranged from a low of 3,600 campers during April festivals to nearly 8,000 campers for festivals in May.

In August 2006, troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested two people for selling illegal mushroom at Camp Zoe. During the ensuing four year investigation, undercover authorities said they made more than 150 purchases of marijuana, psychedelic mushrooms, ecstasy, cocaine, LSD, MDMA, opium, moonshine liquor and products like homemade cookies and cakes containing hashish oil. These undercover officers reported observing between 100 and 200 drug dealers at each festival, estimating the amount of illegal drugs sold at Camp Zoe during a typical "Schwagstock" festival at approximately $500,000.

James Tebeau said he was aware of the drug use at Camp Zoe, but told his staff to eject people selling crack cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin or nitrous oxide gas.

Tebeau pleaded guilty to one felony count of maintaining a drug involved premise. In exchange for his plea agreement, federal prosecutors conceded that Tebeau did not intend to sell or use drugs himself, but made his campgrounds available for sellers and users.

Tebeau's agreed sentence should be 30 months in prison with the ability to appeal the District Court's denial of Motion to Dismiss the Indictment. Tebeau also agreed to forfeit 350 acres in Shannon County. He will be sentenced September 4.

the bolded portion is what it is still about.

No, it isn't. It may have had bearing on this particular case, but as you are wont to do, you take one case and make it a blanket, generalized statement.

Other posters are right. It's just big pharma spending their big dollars.
and as you are wont to do, you remain ignorant and obtuse about the WHOLE picture.

No; that isn't the case.

You have a specific worldview, and what you do - at least on the board - is cherrypick and tailor facts to fit that worldview. It is removed from reality, however.

I display facts and truth to the proles, like you. if you wish to remain in fantasyland, I can't help you.

No matter how liberal Mitt may truly be, if given the reins he will be dog to the far right master. Given that a vote for Johnson is a vote for Mitt (when cast by a democrat)
and that Johnson doesn't have a prayer in hell, what is wrong with you people?
I don't want to live under Mitt's corporate rule again. As Gov of Mass, Mitt controlled 40Billion worth of Mass health care companies at the time he used his governing power to force his every constituent to become his customer. Conflict of interest? Apparently not. ftfy.

i'd turn you question around, and ask how you can vote for someone who continually lies, drones the fucking planet at will, has no other idea but "stimulate" ( and add debt) -says adding public sector jobs (while they are jobs, don't create more wealth.)
Appointed Bowles-Simpson, then ignored it, can't lead his own party.

Uses the Commerce Clause to pass a HC bill, that i'm fairly sure will be struck down -because Congress has the power to tax, but didn't want it to be a taxation law ( instead of using enumerated powers of taxation), can't do much STILL, except blame Bush
Destroyed Libya, lied abot UN "leading" ( no. US led-only powers left GB. France. and USA form that co-alition.) backed a bunch of thugs from east Africa with ties to AQ.

Sorry i'm not a partisian sheeple, I ain't voting for Romeny, or Obama as the "lessor of 2 evils" ( even that is questionable given perpetual war).

Go ahead and vote the duopoly, then wonder why in the heck we get the same old tired "blame game", while nothing gets done.

In the final analysis, I don't vote for Unitary presidents, not Cheney/ not Obama. I vote the best man/person that's Gary Johnson (IMHO)

As I had stated in another post somewhere, the libs will vote for Obama because they are too terrified of the (R) having control. Same with conservatives...they are too terrified of the (D) and will vote Romney, even against their own interests.

partisian ties are hard to break, and the "lessor of 2 evils" ( instead of voting for a person) drives many voters.

If ppl believe Obama is a good POTUS, then by all means vote for him; conversly if one belieives Romney would be better - then vote for him.

The problem is the negative ads, promote fear of the other guy. I'm in Florida, already bombarded with negative ads.
Neither candidate says much POSITIVE, about why they should get my vote - it's all "the other guy will doom you". I've been around politics since JFK's camapign, even before his inaguration, and i understand the power of negative ads.

I'm not buying into it though, tell me something why i should vote FOR you, instead of fearmongering the other guy. It's the nature of the duopoloy, even as the hyper-partisianship is running at high tide these days.

There's a lot to like about Johnson, not perfect, but i think he'd prolly be a breath of fresh air (my opinion).
Nothing is going to break the stalemate until we get a viable 3rd party. Doubt i'll live to see it, or if it'll ever happen, but that's how im voting.
