One word would defeat Obama in Ohio, PA, WV and VA

Yeah, yeah, yeah, lets get rid of the limitations that are meant to protect the poor and hinder polluting corporations first then we will be libertarian. Save it! It won't help anyway.

You sound an awful lot like a liberal instead of a libertarian.

Be honest and go after the corporate welfare recipients FIRST. That's how Romney COULD HAVE won and appealed to everyone. It's too late for him. If the GOP does not heed this it will be too late for the party.

How do you think corporate welfare gets its start? It starts with one business trying to use the force of government to make their competitors less competitive. Once other businesses see that it works, then it just becomes a matter of time before all want to do it. YOu are like many who decry corporate welfare. YOu do so in the abstract, but you aren't really serious about it. You just want your favored entities subsidized. I get it. I hear it from liberals all the time. I don't expect to hear it from supposed libertarians

Nobody trusts the fake version of limited government and that is all you know. That fake version dooms the real advocates of limited government and empowers those who only want to grow the government.

I am the one that wants to eliminate ALL corporate subsidies and yet you are the serious one about corporate welfare. I guess if that is the alternate universe you have created for yourself, have at it

Who gets more subsidies gas or coal? I don't know, but the answer is to stop the subsidies that only benefit the rich, not the limitations that are meant to protect us.

Kudos for knocking down that straw man. I didn't even see it coming

David Stockman knows the score. He was on the inside. He is more libertarian than you and certainly more than Romney or Ryan.

"The ground of liberty is to be gained by inches, and we must be contented to secure what we can get from time to time and eternally press forward for what is yet to get. It takes time to persuade men to do even what is for their own good." --Thomas Jefferson to Charles Clay, 1790. ... and don't give me no bs about mistakes he made at a younger age or the slavery that he knew was corrupting him.

OK, you worship at the altar of David Stockman. I guess that makes you a libertarian. You are free to call yourself anything you want

It's hard to imagine someone so ignorant in the ways of the world. But here you are. On a politics board, no less.

Have you ever travelled to a resort in a poor nation? A nation lacking adequate social policies? If so, why do you think they tell you to stay near the resort and not travel around the island/country? Well, I'll tell you. Poor people will take your wallet and your watch and if really hungry and you resist they just might take your arm along with the watch. If it's a world where one makes their own "good fortune", a jungle, why not?

There is no need to travel outside of the good ole US of A. Now I am sure that will just raise the hackles of the leftardiots. But, do you think the problem is lack of "social services"? I would say it is a lack of a free market. Lots of "social services" in Chicago and look at their crime rate. In fact Chitown has been dominated by democrats forever. Same with Detroit. And they are shitholes. But, I guess we just haven't siphoned enough off of the private sector right?

Would I turn to crime if I was poor? Fortunately, I live in a country with social policies. Would you turn to crime if your child was hungry and you had no other way to obtain food? If your child was severely ill and you couldn't afford a doctor would you just sit there and watch him/her suffer?

I would never turn to crime to feed my children because I will always be able to feed my children. And if I fell on hard times, I have a wonderful network of family and friends that would help us through. That is what real charity is. I would never turn to the gobblement. I know that offends your delicate sensibilities, but it is what it is. And I am sure you will come back with some tragedy and claim that "I would turn to government" and we could go on and on. In the end, one is happiest when one takes care of themselves.

The problem is that voters are not as stupid as you imagine. Those JOBS (the word you were looking for) are not going to return and nothing Romney says indicates that he has any idea of how to return them. Not even easing pollution restrictions will return those jobs. How about a trade war with China? No, not without destroying many other higher paying jobs.

Romney has nothing to offer because he is a lying pos as is the Republican establishment. Again, read David Stockman and why he left the Reagan administration. If Romney really wants to cut government he could prove that by starting with cutting it from the crony capitalist. Until he and the Republican establishmnet do so they are nothing but big government, New Deal PROGRESSIVE, KEYNESIAN, racist, socialist who have a preference for white rich male believers.

Obama is no better. Ask bac.

What are you talking about? ObamaRomney and the Republicrat establishment are all for keeping plenty of people in prison, creating a police state and cracking heads of anyone who complains about flushing their toilets. You don't have to worry fraidycat. That is not likely to change.

Did you see this? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/26/joe-scarborough-romney-ryan-sweet-jesus_n_1915975.html

Now that Joe is funny!

You've been listening to Mitt a bit too long. Just like college kids, right? They can borrow the money from Mom and Dad. Everyone has family and friends with money to loan, right?

How many times do I have to tell you people that I do not support Mitt Romney. I am voting for Calvin Coolidge. My guess is you are too ignorant of history to understand why. Look I get it, you want to sponge off of your fellow americans. You think those who make more money than you are just a piggy bank for you to get things you don't want to work hard enough to provide for yourself.

Here is a thought on college. Are kids really getting a return on that investment? Why is it college tuition keeps going up yet we keep getting the gobblement more and more involved? Seems like a trend doesn't it? Every time the gobblement gets involved with something it always gets more expensive. Too bad for the college kids. They are overpaying for educations that they can't use and they can't find jobs. Of course they feel fucked over. What do you think is happening in Greece. My guess is that this is all part of the grand OWEbama plan to bring down capitalism and reign in the dawn of socialism. Communists always said that they would have to tear down capitalism to usher in socialism to the US.

You may want to live under that kind of society, but I do not. Which is why many years ago, I took steps so that I would always be able to take care of myself and I would let the wretched masses fight for the scraps doled out by the gobblement. Good luck with it. I am sure it will work as well for you as it did for the people of Venezuela, Argentina, Cuba, Russia, Romania etc,

Three words that f*cked Romney!

Here we go, again, with that "work hard enough" nonsense. Do you know anyone who doesn't work hard? The next time you hear of someone out of work give them the name and address of where to report for work. OK? Not just a company name that's hiring. A specific job opening that's available to them if they show up. Then tell me how many people you have given such info to and how many didn't show up because until you do you're just talking out where the sun don't shine.

A college education is good whether or not it results in a job. It's called being educated. The ability to get a good job is just one benefit of a college education. It aids people in understanding life, in general. (Hint. Hint)

Good for you. However, the first thing you have to understand is communist regimes are/were corrupt and I am not suggesting communist regimes are the answer. I'm not even suggesting a socialist regime is the answer. A capitalist regime is fine as long as the less fortunate are helped. That's all. Not some nefarious grand plan.

As I've explained before people used to live in the same community all their life so sooner or later everyone contributed in one way or another. While everyone didn't like everyone else most people belonged to a group of some sort. A church. A group of neighbors. A club. There was a support system by virtue of everyone personally knowing someone. Today, it is different. People move. How many 40 year olds have had the same neighbors for 20 years? 15 years? Even 10 years? And how many know them personally? Not many and that's why taxes and social programs are necessary. If the person falls on hard times a few years after moving to a neighborhood how many neighbors are going to rush to help? They don't really know the neighbors. The neighbors really don't know them so who is left to help?

Maybe that individual volunteered in the last community where he lived for 10 years. Maybe he/she helped neighbors out there but he/she doesn't have those same people as neighbors any longer and the neighbors they do have don't know them very well so who is supposed to help?

Is this so difficult to understand?

I live in a small town and see people taking responsibility and care for our less fortunate which include one guy who's my age now and retarded. He has lived here all his life and everyone knows him and has had dealings with him. He is cared for. As you say that happens when people know each other and have a sense of community. That isn't a bad thing as some would have us believe.

Slavery was corrupting him. Along with hypocracy, sleazy politics, and a host of character flaws.
