America's Drones - The Justification for Terrorism and 9/11

It happens to me with emails. It's technically considered poor form to use emoticons in business emails, but I learned the hard way that it's better to do something that is technically incorrect and not be misunderstood. Most people have no clue it's not good form anyway. But boy have I been misunderstood via email. Now I emoticon all over the place like some crazed cheerleader. What are you going to do. :)

Nothing wrong with emoticons. I used to go to Wal-Mart just to see the hanging smile button signs.

And yet she didn't thank your post 23 or even this one for that matter.......go figure.....

She doesn't have to agree with me on everything brother. That's how good communication and relationship works.

You and I don't agree on everything .. yet I still like and respect you.

If the people I respect don't agree with me .. a take another long look at what I believe to make sure that they don't have a point. If after a second look I still come to the same conclusions, not a problem. The people I respect respect me back.

Right on bac....she don't HAVE TO agree, but its nice that she does in this case...thats what 'thanks' are for don't you think, to show you agree with the post...
one would certainly not 'thank' a poster for what in your own eyes is a stupid claim or obvious lie, right.
Always nice to have a like minded ally.

The Obama "Double Tap"

In a 2007 report, entitled Underlying Reasons for Success and Failure of Terrorist Attacks (pdf) and prepared for Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate by Homeland Security Institute (and recently scrubbed from their web site, here) notes: “a favorite tactic of Hamas, the “double tap;” a device is set off, and when police and other first responders arrive, a second, larger device is set off to inflict more casualties and spread panic.”

It has been documented that this terrorist tactic has been embraced by President Obama.

Obama has adopted the “double tap” tactic by using second drone attacks to kill the first responders to the first drone attacks. Funerals for the victims of the first drone attack have also been the target of second drone attacks. These second attacks have caused the deaths of between 282 and 535 civilians, and at least 60 children.

In a comment that could have come out of the Bush/Cheney/Rove administration, a senior American counterterrorism official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said:

Let’s be under no illusions — there are a number of elements who would like nothing more than to malign these efforts and help Al Qaeda succeed.

This Obama administration official has committed the irrelevant conclusion (ignoratio elenchi) fallacy. The conclusion that there are those who would help Al Qaeda is not relevant to the question of accuracy of the documentation.

Obama’s “double tap” policy is nothing short of despicable. Obama has brought dishonor to America and to our founding principles. When America commits the same actions that we condemn when used by terrorists, we become terrorists. The liberals’ silence on this issue is shameful. If George W. Bush had adopted this tactic, the cries of protest would have been deafening.

We wanted change and we got it, from bad to worse.

In reading your op, I gathered you were against the US use of drones, period....
Now in post 45 you seem to be zeroing in on Obama's 'tactics' in the use of drones....

Let me be clear, I absolutely support the US use drones, bombs, bullets, knives, forks and spoons, etc., ..to kill terrorists....
I certainly do not support the use of Obama's 'double tap' tactic if it is indeed fact.....

My understanding of the term 'double tap' is the use of a second bullet, or in the case of drones, 2 missiles, to insure a kill....

When I said I did support Obamas use of drones, I was speaking of the general concept, and I was not aware of Obama's use of this tactic....it is pretty despicable...
and I wouldn't be surprised to learn he approved it...

In my experience, Democrats in general, are obsessed with the outcome in every issue, and ignore the method used, be it illegal, immoral or unconstitutional.....
hence, the reason you hear conservatives complain constantly about the erosion of our rights......

Gun control, the healthcare mandates about contraceptives, the redistribution of wealth, taxation used to drive a social agenda, euphemisms to distort the truth as
we see them used in talking about immigration and disparaging the opposition....

This line speaks volumes, "If George W. Bush had adopted this tactic, the cries of protest would have been deafening."
The Hypocrisy is undeniable.

Here is something interesting BAC:

Salon exclusive: Study finds "liberals" more likely to favor targeted killings once they know it’s Obama's policy

I guess we kind of knew this. But that is really disgusting.

Perhaps it has to do with the different approaches of Bush vs Obama. The Republicans tend to revel in war. Things like Bush's "Bring it on" and standing on that "Mission Accomplished" ship and Cheney forever going on about the barbarians at the gates. Obama does his job with a lot less fanfare so it gives the impression he's doing what's necessary but not particularly thrilled about it.

Just saying.

Yeah, he's so disappointed in his noble peace prize role of bombing kids. Woe is Obama, he's the real victim here.

Sorry apple, what he is doing is not necessary. It's criminal. He has no right to be doing this and I will tell you something, liberals will long curse the day they let this go. Because this is the beginning of something that is going to flourish for many years, under many different presidents. I also completely reject the idea that as long as you don't smirk about it, it's okay to kill people. I really don't care about anyone's emotions when they are acting out. It is their actions themselves that matter. If someone killed someone I loved but assured me, hey I didn't feel good about it, guess what? I would kill them anyway.

Yeah....like Korea, Vietnam,.....they make US losses in Iraq and pre-2009 Afghanistan look like ....like....like...."bumps in the road" I think was the phrase .....

Not to mention the drone killings.....
