I am from Birmingham, but I lived in Montgomery for a while. Very familiar with Old Cloverdale, almost bought a house there.
Again, what you and the left are attempting to do, is convince people you're only talking about strong communities, and no one in their right mind is opposed to strong communities, never have been. I get the trick! I'm not opposed to you sending your kids to Synagogues or Churches, or to summer camps. I have never suggested we do away with these programs or aspects of the village. But that's NOT WHAT THE MOONBAT ON MSNBC WAS TALKING ABOUT! Why in logics name, would she have to tell us what we need, if it's stuff that you admit is already happening? Is she saying we need more Christian summer camps or Vacation Bible Schools? I didn't hear that. Is she saying Jewish Synagogues and Buddhist Monasteries should be funded and endorsed by the government so we can have more of them, helping the village? Nope... she didn't say that either. My guess is, if Sarah Palin came up with such an idea, you'd all be ready to burn her at the stake for it.
It doesn't matter why. The argument presented, was that Sarah Palin is sucking all the oxygen out of the room, and other conservative women can't find the spotlight because of her. But she wasn't even a speaker at the convention, while I named off a list of fine conservative women who were. So how is she stealing their spotlight? What else could the RNC do to take the spotlight off Palin, besides not invite her to speak? Should they have had someone to get up there and bash Sarah? Seems like the RNC did everything short of that, to avoid giving Palin any attention at all, but Rana says she is stealing the spotlight, I don't see it.
You are assuming what the MSNBC person was saying. Just as Palin was suggesting you do.
