A court employee who retrieved photos and deleted text messages from Trayvon Martin's cellphone has been placed on administrative leave after an attorney testified that prosecutors didn't properly turn over the evidence to the defense, an attorney said Wednesday.
Former prosecutor Wesley White said he was ethically obligated to reveal that Fourth Judicial Circuit Information Technology Director Ben Kruidbos retrieved the data that weren't turned over.
Kruidbos was placed on leave shortly after White testified during a hearing in George Zimmerman's second-degree murder case on Tuesday. White said Kruidbos was interviewed by state attorney investigators twice before the action was taken.
White said he wasn't surprised of possible evidence violations by Zimmerman prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda.
"I was saddened by it, but I'm not surprised," he said.
White first learned about the evidence through Kruidbos more than a month ago, he said.
Phone and email messages left at the office of Fourth Judicial Circuit State Attorney Angela Corey were not immediately returned.

what I find so interesting is that if Zimmerman was black and Martin was white the sides would flip. ALL the conservatives would be screaming for justice, all the libs would be screaming self defense. The ONLY thing that would remain the same is that the Prosecutor would still be withholding evidence from the defense. That happens ALL THE TIME. But only when it is your criminal defendant of the moment does it matter to you.

many here would do that, I have no doubt. But not me. I am a constitutionalist, and I believe in the right of self defense. I love guns, and I love putting down criminals. Liberals hate guns, and they hate citizens having any degree of autonomy for self preservation. To them, you live and die for the state, any other reason is superfluous.

Face it Soc, justice was served, because Martin is dead. The left wants a travesty of justice and crucify Zimmerman because he killed a wild teenager in self defense. Yeah, I think they hate Zimmerman because he's not black and Martin was black, but they also hate him because he used a gun to defend himself, and guns are scary and bad, and people shouldn't not be responsible for their own safety and that of their property and neighborhoods, GovCo should be protecting us at all times.

What was Trayvon's crime? Being stalked by an armed man? One who followed the kid around to the point where the kid may have been fearful enough to confront his stalked?
Autonomy and self preservation? This was neither...this was Zimmerman looking for trouble.

If some fucker was following your ass around in the middle of the night, you might be inclined to fear for your safety too. Calm down you racist. Martin's race or that he was, as you stated, a "boy", is irrelevant. And "stalking" means that you are trailing someone going about legitimate business at their residence or on public property, not sneaking through backyards in someone else's neighborhood.

I am not fully satisfied Zimmerman is guilty of murder yet. He is at a minimum guilty of manslaughter and the story he has told so far has far too many holes. To claim that this is some sort of travesty or that he is being railroaded is absurd.
