So you think the founding fathers would compare the current form of government THEY created, to the oppressive monarchy, divine right of kings government they broke away from? Did our founding fathers create any methods and mechanisms to address grievances and abuses? OR, do you right wing terrorist just want to blow up things and thirst bloodshed?

When you start talking or supporting armed insurrection, it means that people will die and you are willing to kill fellow Americans who don't support your far right wing terrorist desires.

Hi!! I thought that I would introduce myself. I'm STY and I post hundreds of articles on the increasing militarization of police and expansion of government power that would normally violate the constitution but is rubber stamped by the courts. maybe you've read some of them?????

The current government is hardly the one they created. It has become much more intrusive and centralized federally than what they created.

The only way to get a new ip address is to move. I have lived in the same home for 35 years. Paid off the mortgage over 15 years ago.

To compare the government our founders created to the monarchy they revolted against is REAL foolishness. Has our government grown and changed. Yes. Has the world grown and changed? Absolutely. How would our Founding Father address instantaneous interstate commerce, nuclear proliferation, deadly pollution that crosses state lines, superpowers on other continents with the ability to wipe out a vast swath of the U.S. and reduce it to radioactive rubble?

The colonists dumped BEIC tea in Boston Harbor because the crown gave BEIC a huge corporate tax break that would have put small merchants out of business. And WHAT oppressive government did the founders revolted against? Was it a representative republic? Did it have a Constitution and a Bill of Rights?? Did it have 3 equal branches, an executive, a legislative and a judicial? Were citizens able to vote in democratic elections for their representatives on a local, state and federal level??? Was it possible for any citizen to become a prominent member of local, state or federal government????

Here's where I think you misunderstand, the somewhat misguided call for rebellion, especially from the right. I don't think they would, as a group change the Constitution at all. The rebellion would not be against our form of government, but against the bureaucrats that have corrupted and bastardized that form of government. People want the US to be run according to the Constitution. I think it is MUCH more likely that the left would scrap the system.
