3-Year-Old Colorado Boy Dies From Accidental Gunshot

You don't want a better solution to this collateral damage .........why?

It is not a question of wanting it desh... no one wants to see a kid die because a parent was irresponsible. The point is that you cannot legislate away irresponsible behavior.

and we also have the power as a people to change that when we find a better solution

What change would you suggest that would prevent that kid from dying in the car? We already have laws/knowledge that leaving a kid in a hot car could cause death... yet this guy did it anyway. What law would prevent that?

gun background checks and mandatory training for anyone who wishes to purchase and passes the background checks.

then we can come up for punishments for failing to follow the training instructions for proper storage.

We could even employ checkups to see how people are storing them

Again... a background check and training will not eliminate irresponsible behavior. Punishments for failing to be responsible already exist and they obviously do not prevent these accidents and irresponsible behavior.

Employ checkups? LMAO... holy fuck... not only do we not have the manpower, but it would be a colossal waste of funds. People would have to KNOW when the checkup would occur and thus would be able to make sure they were properly stored at that time. If you are suggesting random check ups, then you are saying authorities have the right to enter your home at any time they choose to make sure you are being responsible with guns/bathtubs etc... which is friggin insane.

Like I said you prefer dead babies

I don't disagree with required training. Background checks are already the law. I might require a statement on the Form 4473: Do you affirm that you have locked secure storage for this firearm? What I would not do is the "checkups to see how people are storing". In case of an accident, the police investigating would check for presence of a gun safe. If none, then a federal charge (lying on Form 4473) could be added to the reckless endangerment, negligent homicide, etc. We cannot have more police state invasions of privacy, that are so easily abused. We have enough out of control government agencies already (DHS, for example.)

Now because YOU prefer dead babies to the alternative that makes me wrong?

BTW many people use bathtubs to do needed things in life.

Guns well not so much.

I have lived without one all my life.

If you cant live without a gun then maybe you are insane

No they are not

why did you guys fight them in the last big massacre?

Mexico has total gun control. More people are murdered with knives and other cutting instruments each year in Mexico than total murders in the U.S.
