3-Year-Old Colorado Boy Dies From Accidental Gunshot

No they are not

why did you guys fight them in the last big massacre?
Yes, background checks are required. Form 4473 is what you fill out in order to have your background checked by the FBI. I'm not sure who "you guys" are, but the objections I voiced were the stupid ideas like requiring a background check for me to give my grandfather's shotgun to my daughter. Big massacre?

USA has a 4x higher murder rate than UK, who is similarly developed
Actually, the UK is more developed...in the area of lying to the public. It was recently disclosed that for the last several years, crime reporting in the UK has been systematically manipulated and altered in order to show the results that they wanted gun control to show.

Jarod... This is the price Americans as a group have agreed is worth the value of unfettered absolute access to bathtubs. /Jarod

False equivalency, but I am willing to bet that there are more regulations regarding bathtub production and instillation than there are for guns.

If it were possible, I'd take that bet......................and win.

Please continue the comedy and say their gun murder rate is close to ours!

fuck mexico we are talking this country
Why is it that the left always refers to other countries when it suits their argument, but then uses foul language to say that other countries are irrelevant when it doesn't?

what if she is mentally unstable and you don't know that?

I have to JUST TRUST you ?

Again... a background check and training will not eliminate irresponsible behavior. Punishments for failing to be responsible already exist and they obviously do not prevent these accidents and irresponsible behavior.

Employ checkups? LMAO... holy fuck... not only do we not have the manpower, but it would be a colossal waste of funds. People would have to KNOW when the checkup would occur and thus would be able to make sure they were properly stored at that time. If you are suggesting random check ups, then you are saying authorities have the right to enter your home at any time they choose to make sure you are being responsible with guns/bathtubs etc... which is friggin insane.

see you don't think these little lives are worth the "hassle"

Murders are just as bad when done with swords and blunt instruments...at least for the victims. UK reporting of murders has been a pack of adjusted statistics. And you know what Mark Twain said about statistics. Don't force the murder rate into this discussion. If you take the FBI "Crime in the United States" and correlate it with the U.S. Census, you'll find more about murders than you'll want to know.

Cesare Beccaria (Philosopher, politician & criminologist) 1794: "False is the idea of utility that sacrifices a thousand real advantages for one imaginary or trifling inconvenience; that would take fire from men because it burns, and water because one may drown in it; that has no remedy for evils, except destruction. The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm those only who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."
