Rep. Trey Radel, (R-Fl) was busted for cocaine possession. He blames his disease of alcoholism for his poor choice. whatever your reasons for disliking Clinton, the majority of Americans do not agree with "the rest of you". The "rest of you" are a marginalized, bitter, defeated minority. You can't believe that Clinton was not convicted by the Senate, you cannot believe that Americans STILL think he was a great president and an infinitely better choice than either Bush I OR Dole. You can't believe that a relatively inexperienced senator from Illinois (or is that Kenya, really?) could have whipped a Naval Academy graduate, legitimate war hero AND a guy in magic underwear. You really do need to ask yourselves what the real ramifications are of those defeats going forward. I have three young adult children. They report to me that their entire generation is WAY more liberal than ours was. They think that all the brouhaha about abortion and gay marriage is ridiculous... they see the GOP as out of touch with their generation completely. The generational shift in voters along with the demographic shifts certainly would suggest that the GOP is destined to be less and less of a national force and will be relegated to regional influence only.
