The democratic party lacks credible leadership and direction, but they are on the right side of many issues.
I know this but they have not been very successful or even diligent in generating the kind of support that they need to actually begin to control the power in government and they don't seem too concerned with the kinds of voters that would enable them to do that. Over and over again during the last twenty to forty years they have eschewed getting new voters and generating new voters. They abandoned ACORN so fast it wasn't funny and were willing to throw them under the bus at the first suggestion of trouble. It was shameful and has nothing to do with their stance on the issues, but without expanded voter registration they are not going to win elections, it is that simple. And for all the elections they have lost since the first campaign against Reagan the Democratic candidates have just not spent any funds whatsoever on getting mroe voters or registering new voters. They simply haven't done it and haven't allocated any funding to do it. It is a matter of record.
