Kirk Cameron says don't explain... train. Because religion is about obedience.

We all have different things we are passionate or care more about. Religion is clearly one for you. While I am a Christian religion is not a big issue to me. I don't pay much attention to it nor is it something I talk about much so you'll have to excuse me for not getting involved in your threads (bashing) talking about Christianity or religion.

People feel very passionately on both sides. I find being skeptical of both approaches works well for me.

So what? If they preach obedience and reject reason then they take some heat too.

You stated I was trying to protect Republicans by my comments on your Christian bashing. I was simply pointing out that your Christian bashing and hatred that I am against affects both Dems and Reps. Now please... do carry on with your hate filled diatribe.

That's right, and those are the political allies to which I was referring, idiot.

I don't give a fuck about Christians. I am against the idiotic notions about obedience and the rejection of science, which is a key tenet for most of them. You want to change the subject and try to make it about me rather than let their backwards and destructive ideas be challenged.

You do nothing but try to derail my threads with your pissy little ad homs.

LMAO... I again, simply addressed a comment YOU made in YOUR OP. You are the one that is full of the ad hom attacks.

I really think this is why Christians are mostly a bunch of idiots that are subservient to the state, their mommies and daddies. Also, IMO, this is why they get so offended if you insult the dead, their traditions, morals and ignorant notions.

.

Oh look, superfreak, is demanding that the religious get a free pass for their stupid ideas again.

You just want to change the subject to me again instead of letting your political allies be criticized. It's what you always do, coward.

You are guilty of it as well when you constantly use the term "the left" or "liberals"

I will be more than happy to points this out to you in your future posts.

I let it slide but in the future I will point out your own board brush.

My pleasure, your welcome! :)

Well... I don't know about constantly, but yes, I do generalize as well. I too, should refrain from doing so. In the future, just assume when I do it... I mean the 'left on this board' or 'liberals on this board'. But feel free to call me out on it to clarify etc... :)

the fringe element is a surprising number here in Ohio. What interests me is the demographic split in religion. Inside our (I-270) outer belt, most of the larger churches are more mainline, established protestant that are tolerant of homosexuality, liberal on social issues, et al. Or they are churches attended by African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans et al son they are socially liberal.

In the suburbs this flips. In Grove City, near where I live there is a huge Nazarene Mega church.....which is batshit conservative. They sell Glenn Becks books in their Christian book store.

The split in American Christianity is interesting from a sociological viewpoint if nothing else.

^ This is very interesting to me also. And I can easily get bogged down in trying to analyze believers, why they're liberal or conservative, how could the Bible be interpreted differently by different groups, how can people use the bible to justify discrimination, etc. Often there are no easy answers to the questions.

Currently my bug is with the "sister wives" in Utah, Kody Brown and his harem. That any woman would agree to that kind of living arrangement is totally beyond my comprehension.

....and yet 17 year old girls marry 54 year old men after their mothers have been abused and neglected in front of them. Astonishing. And I am not implying that all of these relationships are abusive. But one mark of a cult is separating people from outside contact and reality. The Mormons are very good at that in some of their sects.

I believe they have, they waited in line several hours to vote last election.

Especially in places such as Florida. I was so proud of watching people wait 8 hours to vote. Here in Ohio, I voted in 35 minutes during the 2004 election. People in urban Columbus neighborhoods often waited 3-5 hours to vote. Ain't voter fraud grand?

Warren Jeffs. Sexual assault of minors in the name of his religion. Makes you want to throw up. Thank god he'll never leave prison alive.

Aww... is little String raging again?

I did not change the subject you moron. I directly addressed a comment you made in your OP.

Bullshit. You constantly try to change the topic with your pissy little ad homs.

Christians preach obedience and a rejection of reason. The conservative ones (and most of them are) don't like change and take offense to challenging the traditions of the dead or the dead as moral agents. I think that is all connected because as they learn obedience to their elders/authority they become emotionally and mentally dependent on their commands.

You have not addressed any of that. You have only whined about how it might offend some people. Of course, Robertson can hide behind his faith to attack homosexuals and other minorities but we must not offend the faithful. That's your perspective, coward. I don't give a fuck if they don't like it.

I do acknowledge that I should not have said "all." That was way too general. Only most of the Christian right are ignorant bootlickers, like sf.

Absolutely! I felt proud as well!

Bullshit. You constantly try to change the topic with your pissy little ad homs.

I just listed all your ad hom attacks. So stop crying. I again did address a comment you made in the OP. You are completely delusional to pretend otherwise.

Christians preach obedience and a rejection of reason.

Christians preach a rejection of reason?

LMAO... wow... so much hatred for Christians. Please, do go on though, your irrational hatred is actually amusing.

The conservative ones (and most of them are) don't like change and take offense to challenging the traditions of the dead or the dead as moral agents.

seriously... pure comedy

I think that is all connected because as they learn obedience to their elders/authority they become emotionally and mentally dependent on their commands.

they are dependent on the commands of the dead? ROFLMAO

You have not addressed any of that. You have only whined about how it might offend some people.

Dear moron... I said I addressed A COMMENT you made in your OP. I did not state I addressed all of Camerons idiocy... or yours for that matter.

Of course, Robertson can hide behind his faith to attack homosexuals and other minorities but we must not offend the faithful. That's your perspective, coward. I don't give a fuck if they don't like it.

No liar... that is not my perspective. Why do you continually lie?

If you are trying to bulk up from 110 pounds, I would suggest an alternative to steroids. This roid rage you have going on is not becoming.
