Get ready for Darlas head to explode

so stoners would like it
Oh just about every true stoner has it in their library...that is if they didn't sell it to buy more bud. It also appeals to those who are interested how other cultures view what is knowledge and how it is learned. Don Juan teaches his student (Carlos) how to gain knowledge by shifting his perceptions. At first this is through the use of naturally occurring pharmocopia but then it becomes more subtle. As Carlos learns Don Juan is able to shift his perceptions to an altered state with a touch or look or a motion. He teaches Carlos how to choose "paths"...a dimension would be a rough western translation....and by learning how to choose "a path" and how to leave one, he teaches Carlos how to become "A man of knowledge" from the Yaqui viewpoint.

He talks about becoming "A man of knowledge" from the viewpoint of a Yaqui Indian Shaman.

If you have not read "The Teachings of Don Juan: A Yaqui way of knowledge." you should. I can think of no one on this board that would enjoy his books as much as you would. Maybe The Dude. I'm pretty sure Darla would dig it too.

I didn't know those books were still in print. Th people I hung out with in the late sixties and early seventies all read those in about 1969-1970 when we were eating peyote and smoking a lot of opium. Turning into lizard's and birds is always cool. Castenada turned Don Juan into a cottage industry. But leaving your body is a real trip no matter what form your other being takes when it leaves. But you can do it without ever reading Castenada, you just need the right combination of hallucinogens and smoke (big or little)!

I always liked the starring at the horizon experience. Carlos was a bit of a dunce at times.

How about the biased women hating bureau of labor? they conducted an indepth study released under the obama administration. Is that a good enough source for you?

---

A study issued in 2009 funded by the us department of labour and released under the obama administration says as follows:

"Although additional research in this area is clearly needed, this study leads to the unambiguous conclusion that the differences in the compensation of men and women are the result of a multitude of factors and that the raw wage gap should not be used as the basis to justify corrective action. Indeed, there may be nothing to correct. The differences in raw wages may be almost entirely the result of the individual choices being made by both male and female workers. "

For reasoning related to:

"
A greater percentage of women than men tend to work part-time. Part-time work tends to pay less than full-time work.

A greater percentage of women than men tend to leave the labor force for child birth, child care and elder care. Some of the wage gap is explained by the percentage of women who were not in the labor force during previous years, the age of women, and the number of children in the home.

Women, especially working mothers, tend to value “family friendly” workplace policies more than men. Some of the wage gap is explained by industry and occupation, particularly, the percentage of women who work in the industry and occupation.
"

The wage gap in the context of "women make 77 cents for every dollar a man makes doing the same job" is an utter disproven myth. Women do make 77 cents on the dollar, but it's NOT from doing the same job for the same hours. it's for going into different jobs for different hours, often as a result of their own free will and choices.

There are observable differences in the attributes of men and women that account for most of the wage gap. Statistical analysis that includes those variables has produced results that collectively account for between 65.1 and 76.4 percent of a raw gender wage gap of 20.4 percent, and thereby leave an adjusted gender wage gap that is between 4.8 and 7.1 percent. These variables include:
A greater percentage of women than men tend to work part-time. Part-time work tends to pay less than full-time work.
A greater percentage of women than men tend to leave the labor force for child birth, child care and elder care. Some of the wage gap is explained by the percentage of women who were not in the labor force during previous years, the age of women, and the number of children in the home.

What Super Freak Says to Mott: Mott you stupid sheep fucking Ohioan, Mott I've known road kill that is smarter than you! You're nothing more than a left wing partisan hack Mott!

See what I mean Darla...

Its like saying something bad to a dog in a friendly tone. He doesn't know any better.

I would like you to explain in your own words what the implication of this is. Because my guess is that you seem to be missing it.
