Neither do the Iraqis or Afghanis. Yet I still went to fight them 4 years after we invaded. And that's with a essentially invulnerable supply train. Such would not be the case here.

...and the govt. would use the same weaponry on American rebels as it uses in Iraq, Pakistan, etc. And the govt. has strength in numbers, I think you're overestimating how many people here would rise up against it. Most are too content with the American lifestyle to consider it.

Yeah, again, what's your point? It didn't deter a bunch of illiterate goat farmers in the middle of a damned desert with no military training and a complete inability to target U.S. supply lines. They've stood and fought us for a decade+ and we still haven't managed to beat them.

I do understand, though, that the brainwashing you receive from the media will color your viewpoint so as to paint any violence as citizens being psycho, but not everyone is duped like you. one need only look at examples like the LA riot and the reason that the FBI assaulted WACO as early as they did. and your notion of the government having the numbers is absurd.

I'm saying we could have done to Iraq, Pakistan etc. what we did to Hiroshima and Nagasaki and that would have taken care of it. It wasn't just about goat farmers in the desert, it was about the US for once not unleashing all the weapons in the arsenal against a couple of poor backward countries.

Can't say I'm brainwashed by the media because the media I pay attention to never even mentions uprising. How many people do you think would rise up against the US? What would be the reasons given to encourage this uprising? How many would it take to destroy the current govt. and supplant it with whatever you have in mind?
Here's an idea, why don't you do a JPP poll and get some numbers from this microcosm?
