Americans Struggling to Afford Food

I expected the response in this thread by the far right. The right cant address anything, they just dance around it and name call.

First of all I made no claims this was gallup that compiled the list. I find it interesting that the womb of the far right teatardy movement is in the south and it seems the south and other right wing states have the most hungry.

All your distracting name calling cant change facts

LMAO; in other words, you're pissed off that the ignorant liberal leftist gobbledeygook you eupted with got shoved back into your face.

Duh !

Oh, nice! Its what I want to do when we retire! Meet my boys different locations and tour breweries! Whenever we vacation together we always tour breweries.

St. Arnold's was the most fun so far. After the tour you sat at long tables, and played drinking games! They gave prizes.

No shock to me you would be a beer pong queen. LMAO

Spoken like a true know nothing liberal. First of all, it's YOUR side with its skanky finger pointed, not ours. YOU are the perverts who keep blaming Conservatives for poverty and hunger. Of course it's political. It's political because you jerkoffs made it political.

Second, you have no idea where, when, how or why I contribute. I guarantee I'm doing a helluva lot more than you.

Explain something to me.

Why are you and people like you so hateful about the needy? Why do you guys always talk like everybody starts on the same socio-economic level, remains there throughout their lifetimes, but scold poor people that poverty is their own fault? Cyberspace is full of stories about people who had it all and then lost it due to unforeseen circumstances beyond their control.

In the interests of full disclosure, I'm a capitalist who's always worked and have enough money to get the things I want or need. God knows I'm not a saint but I'd be embarrassed to bash people for being poor and I certainly don't think that there's a finite amount of money in the world, or that giving assistance to the poor takes money that can never be replaced out of my pockets.

The abuses in Mississippi pale in comparison to those next door in Louisiana, where the state legislature just banned the use of electronic benefit cards to buy things like lingerie, jewelry, and tattoos.

Oh! The inhumanity of it all!

The ironic take away here is that there is evidently no cases or statistics on the actual use of these cards for these things just a store that posted a sign saying they would take the cards. In other words, capitalists trying to stretch their consumer base. And isn't that just what capitalists do? The regulations will fine the capitalists for seeking more profits from poor people. The poor people will be ousted from welfare entirely. So what then happens to their children, will they be taken away from them and put in other homes where they will then be taken care of at an even greater amount of state and federal expense? In addition, the law is unbalanced because there is nothing here that says a business will be closed permanently for the third offense. And there is nothing here about the amount of the fines that these fraudulent businesses will be forced to pay either. This proposed legislation will probably die in committee and the fines for business will not move beyond the regulatory level. The reason: Businesses have lobbyists; welfare recipients do not. All government and the people who are elected to serve in government generally must deal with lobbyists; the same sorts of lobbyists who wrote the health care legislation which righties like to claim was pulled whole-cloth out of Obama's ass. And the same lobbyists who send checks to re-election campaigns. Sorry righties, you got suckered again; your big business buddies run this country; deal with that reality!

Great: creating alcoholics one drink at a time!

:rofl2:

Mississippians Most Obese, Montanans Least Obese

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Mississippi had the highest obesity rate in the U.S. in 2013, at 35.4%, while Montana has the lowest rate, at 19.6%.

So which is it, are they starving or over weight?

Sounds like the 75% FAT Mississippians are eating all the food! Poor 25%.... But that's capitalism! Food goes to the highest bidder, not where it's most needed! That's why the US throws away billions of tons of food a year. The rich guys don't appreciate food and dare not eat leftovers.(note sarcasm).

I am sure that getting the gobblement MORE involved would do the trick. Maybe they can find an alternative fuel use for broccoli like they did for corn.

Explain something to me; why is it Liberals like you start every commentary with a massive strawman fabrication? Is it in your DNA or just part of the dishonest buffoonery that is typical of Liberals?

Why do you guys always talk like everybody starts on the same socio-economic level, remains there throughout their lifetimes,….

Another strawman; so why do you Liberals pretend that socio-economic levels inhibit one from being successful in this country?
….but scold poor people that poverty is their own fault?

Another strawman claim; color me shocked.

Cyberspace is full of stories about people who had it all and then lost it due to unforeseen circumstances beyond their control.

Cyberspace? Real life is full of those stories; I guess you missed that part where those who risked all and lost it got back up and tried again until they got it right. You know, people like Bill Gates, Tom Monighan and Steven Jobs.

In the interests of full disclosure, I'm a capitalist who's always worked and have enough money to get the things I want or need.

No you’re not based on the nonsense you erupt with on this forum. You’re a clueless bleeding heart Liberal who thinks that sending trillions more of our hard earned wealth to Washington is some kind of panacea for society’s problems.

God knows I'm not a saint but I'd be embarrassed to bash people for being poor and I certainly don't think that there's a finite amount of money in the world, or that giving assistance to the poor takes money that can never be replaced out of my pockets.

Another strawman claim; you just can’t help yourself can you? By the way, the dunce who bashes the poor the most on this forum is The Dude (aka The Dunce); how come you never whine about his mean spiritedness?

What we see here is a severe case of selective outrage and fabricating strawmen.
