Using Motherjones as a source is the pinnacle of buffoonery. But when it comes to buffoonery, dishonest punditry and being a left wing partisan hack, you have few peers.
Nothing can be more comedic and ironic than watching leftist partisan hacks whine about monied influences in our Democracy.
Democrats don't want to remove monied influences; just their political opponents monied interests. Democrats aren't interested in reforms that would significantly remove the monied interests, things like a Fair Tax or term limits and the myriad of other ways to reign it in. They only want to marginalize their political opponents because they know that if they were honest about their ideological agenda, few would vote or them.

But I will leave you with a little clue as to what REALLY is distorting our politics in Washington DC and perhaps you can try to have an honest "eruption" about the solutions that can end these "moneyed" influences in our politics: The current abomination of a tax code, the lack of term limits on lifetime politicians who get elected by promising low information dunces something for nothing, and subsidies used to promote political power.
If you want REAL reform, abolish the current tax code, supplant it with a consumption tax, demand term limits on Congress and end all subsidies. Anything else is just window dressing and pure hyper partisan bullshit.
