Politics aside do folks on this board support our action in Syria?

So have any of those who condemned Obama for wanting to do this condemned Rump?

Actually I have disagreements with people on the right here and express them rather than just being a partisan bitch. To each his own though
I'm not sure how you strayed so far from the original topic? Should the U.S continue to kill innocents with drone bombings? Not just in Syria, but anywhere? Because once those crazy motherfuckers have drones capable of bombing us, it's going to get pretty freaky here.

I do not recall any speaking out about it.
Running with that thought, I don't remember any of the trumpies condemning the recent drone attack that murdered more babies than the sarin attack did. Why do you suppose that is?

More troubling is the fact that the trumpies don't understand that Obama learned from the failed 'Arab Spring' pipe dream. He knew that regime change creates a vacuum, that never stabilizes. Yet, trumpkins want Assad gone.

What the hell is going to fill that void?

If we hadn't taken his chemical weapons in the first place, ISIS might very well be gone by now.

Good point .. it would have grounded Russian air as well .. but at this point, getting rid of Assad should be the goal. If he's using gas, who will replace him is the next question, not the first one.

Clinton made the right call.

Charity Begins at Home

By using gas, Assad wants to put an end to the Sunni terrorists and mercenaries' war more quickly and save the lives of his soldiers. No American leader has ever cared about that; our Chickenhawks-in-Chief only care about a few Arab children who would have killed our children or one another anyway, many times at a very early age.

Nobody condemned Obama, because he didn't 'want' this. He knew that it wasn't going to do anything but give the appearance of him having a huge set of balls. Not following up, serves to do nothing.

Something that he doesn't need to prove, and trump does.

Why did he draw the red line then?

No need to try and spin out. Just pointing out an observation.

I'm sure he regretted drawing a line in the sand in order to make it clear that chemical weapons would not be tolerated. I think the entire concept is a silly one. We've maimed countless thousands with drone strikes, and our 'smart' bombs during the much heralded 'Shock and Awe'.

Obama did form an alliance of sorts with Russia, as we don't really have a relationship with the terrorist state Syria. It could easily be argued that since then, Syria didn't use any chemical weapons until trump took office.

I guess they waited for a POTUS with tiny hands?

Maybe a test to see if he would draw a meaningless red line?

All politics aside(thankfully), I would say this was a very good strategic decision. He has to follow up though, if necessary. Dealing with these animals is truly like dealing with an animal, if you don't show it that you are the alpha male(or female, depending on the animal), it'll assume that it is.

You 'observed' that you weren't able to observe anything?

No. Just pointing out quite clearly the hypocrisy of both side. Their side is in power and they do something fucked up, it is ok. The other side does it, oh....the horror. How about both sides wake up and take a look at reality to what is really occurring around the world objectively and without political agenda. It would be a real eye opener.

I didn't notice any liberals condoning the killing of children by drone attacks?

With respect, there were very few liberals standing against the horrors that Obama brought to Libya. We bombed the hell out of Libya .. even bombed one of the only sources of water for millions of desert people. Liberals stood silent.

Obama took drone warfare way past what George Bush did. He droned children picking up wood, weddings, and funerals. More than that, Obama used double-tap strikes .. which are against international law. Drone a gathering of too often, innocent people .. and when the ambulances and first-responders arrive to help the victims .. drone them again. That's fucking evil.

No disrespect intended my friend.

How was it meaningless, if there were no other instances of chemical weapons use until trump took office? Maybe Assad was empowered by the group of incompetents that trump has in his cabinet? I'm guessing that nice Jewish boy in the expensive suit doesn't scare anyone in the Mid East?

Do you recall the questions in the post you replied to??

You are not required to answer but I do think it would be interesting to know, again, thnX

Sorry- no. I would have probably skipped anything I considered to be off-topic. Deliberate detractors - such as the poor Brit maggot- employ the tactic constantly.
Just ask them again at an appropriate point.

I would imagine they'd think twice before using chemical weapons again.
