Politics aside do folks on this board support our action in Syria?

Why? Do your buddies support the murder of innocents by U.S drones?

Huh? Quite clearly there are people on the board who don't agree with you and according to "your people" everything is political. So read a little before talking shit

Why would we hold off on buying more because we used 59?

If it is really a sunk cost then it won't matter if we get rid of all 3500.

As is quite usual for you, you are talking out of your ass.

because that would be all of them? Its one thing to use 50 here and 50 there its another to use all :)

what people are missing again is that this is not restarting full scale conflict in syria. For them this is just another friday.

So do I.

I supported it in 2013 when Obama wanted to do it and was attacked by almost all Republicans.
I supported it in 2013 when Obama wanted to do it and was attacked by Rump himself.
I support it now, when Rump did it.

I don't think those kids would have been killed had Rump and Republicans not played politics in 2013.

Obama said that he asked Congress postpone the vote to wait for a diplomatic solution.
60 democrats would vote no on Obamas request....with 151 undecided on how they would vote.

“I have therefore asked the leaders of Congress to postpone a vote to authorize the use of force while we pursue this diplomatic path."
...Obama.

but that would take too long. The strike was meant as a message to china as well. It needed to happen while they were here.

I don't support killing people or risking our military personnel to "send a message." They are for defense, not for making your Fuhrer seem tough.

Okies have never known what it's like to be hated for seeking better opportunities. /s
Well I'm being to a certain degree tongue and cheek with LR I find his position, and many others who are hostile towards accepting Syrian refuges, is wrong and that I believe it is my duty as a Christian to help these unfortunate people. I am, however, not the least bit naïve about the security concerns that involves.

I also know my history and what is being said now about Syrian refugees was what most Americans felt and said about European Jewish refugees just before WWII. Our nations behavior in not accepting those poor Jewish refugees resulted in most of them becoming victims of the holocaust. It was an immoral and un-Christian thing that our nation did then and I feel that way now.

We need to help these poor unfortunate people to the best of our ability and doing so while maintaining rigorous attention to safety and security are not mutually incompatible.

I am for taking in more refugees and anyone who can get here on their own dime should be welcomed (i.e. no Muslim ban). Of course, there are security issues but those have been way overblown. The UN's checks are pretty rigorous.

The Californians claimed the Okies were inherently dangerous too.

remember this was a "signal" to the regime -not any other player, not even Russia-unless other players use gas.
And that's not out of the question. The first time it was never fully established the regime used the Sarin.

UN's Del Ponte says evidence Syria rebels 'used sarin' 6 May 2013
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-22424188
estimony from victims of the conflict in Syria suggests rebels have used the nerve agent, sarin, a leading member of a UN commission of inquiry has said.

Carla Del Ponte told Swiss TV that there were "strong, concrete suspicions but not yet incontrovertible proof".

Ms Del Ponte did not rule out the possibility that government forces might also have used chemical weapons.

Later, the commission stressed that it had "not reached conclusive findings" as to their use by any parties.

"As a result, the commission is not in a position to further comment on the allegations at this time," a statement added.

I was never convinced he really wanted to lol. If the Red Line meant anything to him he would have pulled a Trump.

So the question is kind of academic.
he was definately conflicted..he was even conflicted about Libya after Iraq, until Hillary put him over the edge

I asked for one thread where people have their personal opinion and not all the regular stuff and you just put your middle finger up. I see where you stand

I answered your question honestly, the Conservatives here have thus far refused...

and you attack me... I see you!
