Yes, Norfolk cuts right through the property as well.
According to Wiki, Olsteen rents the facilities.
Who made the call, Olsteen or the property owner?
map shows under flood advisory

IT DOESN'T FUCKING MATTER, IF HE'S JUST RENTING IT.
HE NEEDS TO IGNORE THAT AND JUST OPEN IT, EVEN IF IT IS FLOODED.
Don't you know by now, that liberals are going to whine just about anything.

Nope. God parted the waters to the steps of the church. C'mon...it's Osteen. He has a direct line to God.I'm not a huge fan either, but I wouldn't jump on the wagon too quick lol.
Facts seem a little thin. His mega church may only be accessible by boat for all we know.

I could never live in a huge mansion built with people's tithes. But that's between Osteen and God.
The city is the owner, and the former basketball arena isn't equipped as an emergency shelter. There is no lack of emergency shelter in Houston, nor is there lack of Christian bashing by libs.
How many mosques are open?So much for christian values?!! Love thy neighbor???

I won't argue the last part lol.
But Osteen initially leased the property and ended up buying it off the city. So the call was his to make.
His FB page clearly shows at least part of the building is flooded so I don't question the call.
Last I read it was a long term lease, owned by the city. Ever enter into a lease agreement with GovCo? They are written by an army of lawyers directed by city council members, each with their own agenda, therefore contain all sorts of limitations of use.
