NFL player sits for US National Anthem but stands for Mexico's National Anthem.

And that's why I didn't see the relevance of your post. I was reading your damn sig instead of the clappy hand thingy.

Carry on. Nothing to see here.

You really should stop hitting yourself;)

I'm sure using a monkey video wasn't any sort of a racist thing. Oh no, not at all.
Or showing your love for me by copying my words as well. lol

"Enjoy punching yourself in the head over and over and pretending it's a fight. Not playing. You and your Toxic (platonic!) gf knock yourselves out, pun intended. " -- ThatOwlWoman, post #1019 in this thread

LOL at Fowl :)

The poor dear... and her sounds of psycho....

I served more than a decade, been in every shit hole this ball of water and dirt has to offer and had men die in my arms.

Couldn't give two shits and one wet fart if they stand or don't. Why the hell do you?

It's because of Trump mostly. This issue was fading to black, and wouldn't have caused a stir, without Trump stoking his blind followers egos. The players should thank Trump, because this would have probably gone by the wayside without much achievement.

Thank you for your service, and true understanding of the freedoms you fought for.

The ten most racist Disney productions: I will try to quote from them as frequently as possible, in Fowl's honor:)
Fantasia, Pocahontas, Dumbo, Song of the South, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, The Jungle Book, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, The Princess and The Frog.
Then, can't forget the sexist ones. Snow White, The Little Mermaid (double trouble, there:), Aladdin (oops, again:), Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Hercules.
Wait, what about Moana? Coco? Tarzan? Ratatouille? 101 Dalmatians? Finding Nemo?
Time for Disney to Go!!!!!
Next...
Sesame Street....
But first:)

Meh. Maybe.

There is a problem in this country with police misconduct. But it isn't one that only people of color experience. It's an issue that needs to be addressed. So I understand why people feel a need to make public displays. The problem won't get handled though. It won't because we are so divide .

Would you agree these protests are increasing this divide?

The take a knee ones? No. I don't think so. The protests that shut down traffic? Yeah. Though to be fair, there have been other peaceful protests for years that were largely ignored.

Kaepernick said “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,”
Now, how can he say this country is oppressing him or those who protest with him? None of them have been "oppressed," have they?
This country has allowed them to freely achieve their ultimate goals. They make more money in one year than most hard working Americans
will in their lifetimes playing a game that many of us played for enjoyment in our youths. I can't see where the flag or this country has
"oppressed" them in any way.
That said, I can see his point about his thoughts on how some minorities are treated by law enforcement, but my question remains why
can't he take his "protest" to the sources of his displeasure? Many have peacefully (but as we've seen, many were violent) in front of
court houses or police stations? Why can't he author petitions to have lawmakers and state representatives look into removing those
in law enforcement that abuse their authority? Don't you think he would receive far more respect for doing that than disrespecting our
flag and our country?

I found it interesting that he didn't vote.

I didn't know that. It also brings to question if those who turned their "protest" political because of the president's comments voted themselves.
I've always thought those who don't vote, no matter which way, have no reason to complain about political issues.
